YES! I can't believe they let Nash go to the Lakers for some draft picks. That's going to be fun to watch.

The question is will they stop trying to trade Gasol now. And will Artest be amnestied. I hope not to the first, and I hope so to the second.

Wow, that's huge. The Lakers are right back in title contention.

They still need to find some decent depth, but Miami might have some real competition this year. But they kept their MLE I believe, so you'd think someone decent would take that to play with Kobe, Nash, Bynum, and whoever they get for Gasol. I still think they'd be well served by taking the Hawks offer of Smith for Gasol if it's still on the table, since that would give them a great boost in athleticism to help against OKC (and they'll get another piece to have the salaries match).

I just want this D12 chatter to end. They're not going to trade Bynum for him if he doesn't want a long term deal, and after that back injury and his attitude who would want him? Bynum is younger, bigger, and much better on offense. The injury concerns are now a push, so I say keep Bynum.
i duno what to tell you. Every man and his dog knows hes a idiot, he guesses, guesses, guesses, he gets some right and some wrong. When he gets it right he claims hes the first, when he gets it wrong he deletes them, like in this case, hes got an awful lot wrong! He got a few wrong for the NFL this year, so i duno how your saying hes only got two wrong.

Why dont you just follow proper reporters?

Nash, Kobe, Bynum and Gasol is just sickening. They have everything they need to compete with anyone with that starting lineup assuming they get some more depth.

More depth? They have zero depth as of now and personally is still take OKC over them..

Gasol is so overrated now it's not even funny..

If Bynum decides to grow up then they can be dominant

Gasol is still solid. Not as great as some make him out to be but he's still perfectly capable of producing solid numbers.

I agree Bynum needs to be a bit more consistent with his play in order for the Lakers to be as dominant as they could be but Lakers fans have to feel a lot better about the situation with Nash on the team.

I saw on sportcenter that Lakers PGs only average 4.3 assist last season!!! Thats terrible! Nash is going to being feeding Bynum and Gasol in the post. Kobe gets to ease back and just shoot.
Even though he's old, huge move by the lakers to get him.

I also saw that during the Kobe era, no Lakers PG has averaged more than 8.5 APG... should be interesting!

They don't really need to stop him. The Lakers lost because they couldn't keep up in points. With Nash running the offense that shouldn't be a problem next season. Besides, there are not many players who can keep up with Westbrook from an athletic standpoint. The best strategy is to contain him and watch him stop himself with his consistently bad shot selection.

The only bad shots Westbrook takes are his 3 pointers. Almost every pull-up is a clean look. One could argue that he should get the ball to Durant more, especially if he is hot, but I dont think there is any player in the NBA that can guard Russ when is on. He makes a solid % of those mid-range J's as well so its not like he is killing the team taking them.

Kidd to the Knicks (with possibly Lin learning behind him) is another nice deal for NY... they're gonna be stacked next season.

They were stacked last season as well. I do think a veteran PG like Kidd will help them alot, but they should still try to move Amare.

Allen to Heat.
Not. Fair.
They might break the record for wins in a season next year.
I love it. I doubt they break the record for regular season wins though. If they're that far ahead of the field late in the season, Spo will simply start resting guys.

Rashard Lewis aka "Ice-O" could be joining Allen in Miami next week as well. He hasn't been the same player since leaving Orlando, but he can still shoot.

Crazy. lol
All Allen will do is come off the bench and shoot 3's for them like they used Miller in the finals. Except a lot more will go down.
