Basically, the question is what FA aquisition this offseason will make the biggest impact?
What FA do you believe people are overlooking?

For me, it's Jacoby Jones. I'm really excited to see what he can do in our offense. I think right away he'll come in and contribute for us. In both the passing game and on ST.

I know he has a problem with drops but who doesnt on our team with the exception of Pitta/Doss? lol. He'll fit right in.
But no really. He's in the prime of his life, will be the #3, possibly #4 WR and finally gives the Ravens something I don't think we have ever had....A legit PR/KR threat.

Don't even bring up Yamon Figures because he didn't have what Jones has. lol. And don't say Webb either. (Even though he was a beast.)

I think he will be the PERFECT #3 WR. He also won't be asked to do much in our offense. I think Joe will target Smith,Boldin,Pitta, and Rice before Jones. Maybe even Dickson. So he will be our versitale 5 or 6 option that will strech the field and provide us with another legit deep threat, and top 5 returner. (Yes top 5.)

So what say you? Which FA aquisition will make the biggest impact next season, and why?

*Predicted stats for Jacoby next season*
49-56 REC, 650+ YDS, 4+TDs
500+ RETURN YDS, 2 TDs

*Also, Jones only had 2 fumbles last year! And yes that was against us!!! Don't try and use that against him because we as Raven fans should know ho hard we hit! Yes I too was suprised when finding this.*

I vote Corey Graham. Our ST really struggled last season with giving up great starting points for the opposition. Him, Considine, and BA together should make for a very good ST unit.

I would say McBean, since it'll be hard to quantify how much Considine helps our ST coverage. McBean is a veteran on a line with little veteran presence.

Can a Mod uppercase the 'A' in FA. I swear I thought I did that. lol

I'm sure you did. It auto lower cases all letters that are not the first letter of a word to prevent ALL CAPS in topic titles.

I think McBean will suprise a lot of people this year, but I don't believe his veteran presence is that significant for us.

Curtis Painter. He's gonna be starting by the bye week and he'll lead us to the first seed and win Superbowl MVP. I guarantee it!

I said that because he's the best player candidate to coach the younger guys on the DL. Last year Redding did that. Not talking about leading the defense or anything, but of all the guys we brought in (besides Williams) he probably has the best chance of passing along knowledge.

Voted McBean. I feel Laquan might show out this season and steal the #3 spot. McBean I think though could be an effective rusher and decent in run support. I have no idea what the finished o line product will be so didn't vote for Bobbie.

Corey Graham. Our ST was abysmal last season, and Graham along with bringing back BA will have a huge impact IMO. He also gives us even more depth in the secondary which certainly isnt a bad thing.

Jermaine Lewis was excellent during his time here. Hopefully Jones can match the excitement that Lewis brought us.

I'll say Graham. We all remember how much ST aces like Gary Stills and (younger) BA helped the team, plus I think he may surprise people on defense.

I have to take Jacoby Jones. If this guy learns to hold on to the ball he will be the needed fire power to push Flacco into elite status.

All joking aside, I'd have to go with Bobbie Williams. The game is won in the trenches, and if he can stay healthy, he could be a dominant guard for us. He may even turn out to be a better run blocker than Grubbs. At the very least, he would minimize the drop off in talent, and help to tutor the young guys.

My runner up goes to Jacoby Jones. He has the potential to take both our special teams and our offense to the next level. Whether his hands allow him to do so will be determined shortly.

I'm going to say McBean. He'll have the most noticeable impact in games. A more athletic Cory Redding who is going to move back to a position that suits his body size and ability.

Other than Caldwell i would say McBean because he is replacing Brandon McKinney whos role on the defense was very underrated and important

Wow I didn't think Graham would be leading it this far. Surprised though that they're all close really. Besides the 3.

If Bobbie can be in prime shape I'd pick him. Of course that is a pipe dream (old, injury plagued, and been out of NFl for whole year)
