willis is a top 5 RB

Much like Willis's YPC, Jamal is a better back than Willis and I'd take him over Willis anyday.

I don't think Willis makes the PPG go up, plus your relying on Steve McNair's terrible worn out old arm to get the ball to our playmakers down the field.

I think steve's "terrible old arm" still has a couple playoff runs left in it.

Have some faith!

Realistically based on his numbers it is impossible to argue that he is in the top 5. Does he have the physical ability to be there? Maybe, we'll find out this year.

LT

LJ

Shaun Alexander

Frank Gore

Stephen Jackson

Are all better then Willis, try again though.

Pretty much. I bet Ronnie Brown is better than Willis this year as well.

 I said this year. Mark it. He better run because it's like that Miami pass attack is going to do anything Trent on a hovaround.

That's exactly why he won't run. They saw 8 in the box last year and Trent is one trip and fall away from vegetation so I think they'll see 8 again this year.....side note I feel like i'm talking to myself

What's up with the watermelon?

It's because they had no fried chicken and I had to pick one of the pre-made Avatars that best fit me. and i'm too lazy, for now, to upload a picture.

Willis McGahee is not a top 5 runningback.

He is, however, a top 10 runningback and a welcome improvement over the finished Jamal Lewis.

LaDainian Tomlinson, Frank Gore, and Steven Jackson are all interchangable as the best backs in the league. Those are the top-tier guys.

After that I'd probably go Larry Johnson at four and Willie Parker being the fifth best option at RB. So I wouldn't count Willis McGahee in the top five. Funnily enough, Frank Gore actually beat out McGahee for the starting spot at Miami prior to tearing his ACL.

Wishful thinking to say the least. You wish Gore had the recieving ability and was the dual threat that LT and Jackson showed they were last year and you wish Gore was as reliable with the ball in his hands as Lt and Jackson. Talk to me after Gore has another season under his belt, gets to be more of a threat in the passing game and does not start off the season fumbling like a young tiki barber....

Are you kidding me!? He most definitely IS a top 5 back NOT 10 sorry.

You will see this year Lorcuts.. when he runs for over 100 yd's easily against the so called Orange Crush. He is no Jamal!! THANK GOD and I know you guy's have stopped our running game well last year but this is a different back ALL TOGETHER with how he plays compared to Jamal and he isn't SO predictable like Jamal was with HIS pitty patting straight up the middle every time. He will look so so much better then he did with the Bills playing for the Raven's just wait till what you see this year!!. He is a lot better then your back Henry. If he was better then McGahee I think Ozzie would have went after him instead and Ozzie is a very wise wise man and GREAT with his decisions!.

dont worry...our opponents will see first hand, just how Good McGahee is, dont worry, just wait and watch, all those ppl saying how Willis isnt a top 5 back, you just wait until he breaks all those tackles and gets those Big yardage Games, after all....the NFL see's him as one of the most elusive backs right now, and has phenominal break-away Speed and quickness and he also has excellent Field Vision and blocking skills and reciveing Skills......all of which add up to a MONSTER of a Back in McGahee.......all you doubters just wait and see......

The Purple Death on Wings is Coming to all 2007 Raven Opponent's near you....Brought to you by The Baltimore Ravens and the NFL alike....

A RB is only as good as the big men in front of him, and this year the Ravens OLine looks good. He could easily be a top 5 RB this year.

You don't have to pump up Willis McGahee by Bashing Travis Henry, it really doesn't make a case...

IMO... in terms of pure skill, not durability and other factors.

1. LaDainian Tomlinson

2. Larry Johnson

3. Steven Jackson

4. Clinton Portis

5. Frank Gore

6. Willie Parker

7. Willis McGahee

8. Edgerrin James

9. Shaun Alexander

10. Travis Henry

Well, the Broncos were the first team that Henry visited, and thats why we signed him, especially since the Raiders were his next choice.

McGahee was already in talks with the Ravens after the Broncos passed on him (we had a trade in place, but McGahee was asking for more than we were willing to give thanks to Drew Rosenhaus).

Oh believe me, I live in Baltimore, and watched Jamal Lewis. He's not why you lost to us though, you can thank McNair's carelessness for that one.

Guy runs like he has a bar of soap up his a**, its embarassing.

McGahee will be a better fit for the Ravens and stands a chance of putting up top-5 stats for the AFC this year in the Raven's offense.

It wouldn't surprise me if Henry or his agent went to Shanahan with that statement solely as leverage. Not that I think it's a bad pick but the best way to rush a deal with Shanahan is act like you are thinking of signing with Al Davis..

As for Mcnair. I don't necessarily chalk it up as carelessness more as Ego. He insisted on going at Champ when he didn't have to and it cost us. OMG I can't tell you how much ish I took for that game the next day at the Doctor's office. People that I have never heard of talk about the Broncos before all of a sudden were talking about the game and wearing their bronco's gear. God I hate this city at times LOL

That one confused me. Do you think RBs are like the Tooth Fairy or something?

I don't believe in running backs. How come no one is surpurised that the team with the best O-line usually has the best running back?

I don't recall anyone confusing Droughns, Tatum Bell, or sadly Mike Anderson as the best RB. most of us can differentiate between a good RB with a bad OL and a bad RB with a good OL. After all the great Dalas' Lines never made Emmitt's back up look good. His back ups still made you just miss Emmitt all the much more.

I think puppypuncher has a point, LT wouldnt put up too many 100 yard games with 5 goats on the line. but equally you can tell when a good back is wasted behind a bad line.

the O-Line has to at least do some sort of blocking in order to make a run Play work....if they dont then it would just be a Loss of yards everytime lol (except for Barry Sanders LOL and all the Greats)

your lookin at stats dude <_<

hes talkin about the actual pphisical act of tacklin and unless u have tryd to tackle all 6 of em u really have no frame of refrence

I'll take the man that plays in the nfls word for it :P

very true

stats are alot of the offensive line

willis is actually one of the hardest backs to tackle

you kinda came at that one wrong

but there are alot of backs like SA and Westbrooke that were made by their offensive line basically

not necessarily bad backs but not as good as the stats say

Willis is by no means a top 5 back, he's not even a top 10 back, he'll be lucky if Andersen doesn't take his job before preseason is over, the guy is all talk.

6 rushes for 3 yards... sure glad we traded for that!
