It's very possible but the loss of Suggs has a major effect on doing that also so I'm going to say we are either going to go 3-1 or 2-2 vs the NFC East!

I think the eagles are going to be pretty good this year and i believe that game is in philly.

Cowboys- Home game, and i think we are just better. Our CBs will have their work cut out for them

Redskins- They show potential but not ready to take us down, im excited to see RG3 in action

Giants- Great WRs, a decent run game, a really good front 7. I think its a close game but they edge us out 27-24 ish

For the last few years all 4 of those teams have been notoriously hot and cold throughout the season. We can do it, but it won't be easy. I think 3-1 is much more likely, with the loss being to the Giants.

3-1 with the loss coming to Philly week 2. Giants will get a taste of what was to come in this years past Superbowl. And we're at home, toughest road win in the NFL. Check please!

We CAN sweep the NFC East. I think we match up well against the Eagles. Redskins and Cowboys have a lot of potential, but I seriously question if they can put it together. As for the Giants, their defense is overrated and their offense will not come close to playing as well as they have against our defense. Our defense will give them a punch in the mouth. With our secondary and potential pass rush, their wide receivers and aging offensive line will be put to the test.

Anything is possible. I didn't expect us to sweep the AFC North last season but we did. I'd say that 3-1 wouldn't be too bad.

I think we can. I think we're a good matchup against the Eagles, and remember, the Eagles under Andy Reid have for the most part been slower starters and picked it up later in the season. We see them week 2. Conversely, we play the Giants week 16, and under Coughlin, they've been faster starters and slowers finishers for the most part.

I actually think the AFC North as a whole is a good matchup against the NFC East.

The way I see it, we went 3-1 against them in Flacco's rookie season and I think our current team, even with the loss of Suggs, is much better than that '08 squad. So I don't think 3-1 is too unreasonable again, though 2-2 is a possibility too, I'll be curious to see how we handle Griffin and Vick, who are both better than the McNabb/Kolb and Campbell type QBs we faced then...

We can sweep the NFC East, yes. I believe we and our division are a good match-up for them with that said, there are two teams that concern me.

Philadelphia Eagles concern me quite a bit. They have a good RB, and a pretty decent OL. They also get us early, which means Suggs will definitely not play. They have a mobile QB with a decent arm in Vick, but he doesn't scare me that much. I believe the Ravens win this game if they stop the run like we always do. If we cannot contain Vick and McCoy, then it will be a long game.

The New York Giants are the SB champs, have a great front 4, have a very good QB, nasty WRs, and a decent RB with a pretty good rookie. They have a great rotation at DE, which is huge. They play in Baltimore, late in the year, and we will have Suggs back by then. I believe we beat them, but I am concerned.

The other two teams I will touch on but they don't worry me as much.

The Dallas Cowboys would scare me if they got their act together and if they had another option at QB. They have some big holes, and I don't think they are that good. Their defense is the best thing they have. Their run game is OK.

The Redskins would concern me more if RG3 wasn't a rookie and if we didn't have Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, and Haloti Ngata. I think RG3 gets a Baltimore welcome to the NFL. They do have a good defense, though. They also tried to stack themselves at WR, but I see that solution going the way of Philadelphia last year when they tried to do the same. I see the Redskins doing better than last year, but landing somewhere in the middle of the pack.

EOS rankings for the division:

1. Philadelphia Eagles
2. New York Giants
3. Washington Redskins
4. Dallas Cowboys

I am more concerned about the AFC West. Ugh.

That is going to be tough... my best guess is either 2-2 or 3-1, but frankly I won't be shocked but utterly disappointed if we go 1-3...

My two cents.....we got the eagles, we got the redskins, we mangled the cowboys the last time we saw them....The only game that scares me is vs the giants. The giants realllllly play well at the end of the season and since i live in ny, i can hear the trash talking already...I say we can hang with the giants and it will be down to a field goal.

Cowboys got some really good receivers, Giants have some really good receivers, and the Redskins and Eagles both have very mobile QBs who can get the ball deep after buying themselves time. As for the Eagles... I feel they will be the easiest match-up for the Ravens. First, the Ravens own Michael Vick. Secondly... they really only have one receiver, and he's a 1-trick pony in that all he can really do is go deep. The Redskins offense shouldn't be able to do much against the Ravens defense, but... their defense could pose some problems for Flacco. I suggest running on them as much as possible. I'm just going to guess to entertain the OP.... Ravens beat the Eagles easily, beat the Redskins a lot closer than people probably expect, Play the Cowboys close and get the win, and lose to the Giants.

The defense has the corners to hang with ANY set of receivers, if they play it right and put Jimmy Smith on some of the more physical tight ends when we play a team that has one... instead of being idiots and putting one of our faster and more agile guys on them.

And without Suggs... the corners are going to have to play well. I don't have much hope for the pass rush, but maybe someone will end up surprising us.

As for the offense... I really have no confidence in them. It's a tough schedule, and they still haven't even proven they can dominate/score touchdowns against the weak teams/defenses on a consistent basis.

And with all that said, I really don't care what happens against the NFC East. The Ravens just need to sweep the AFC North.

I agree and think we can go 3-1 or 4-0 versus them personally but I would hate to lose to any of them but particuarly the skins, cowboys or giants. It will be a long season for me lol.

My friend let's not forget about DeSean Jackson. He's superfast maybe faster than Wallace. I know we shut wallace down in the past but with all the Eagles' team speed it might be a long game for us. Otherwise I want to beat the stuffing out of the NFC East.

So Macklin is not a good receiver? Wow I agree we can beat them all but don't discount Macklin and Jackson along with Vick and McCoy. All are fast and they have Babin and Asomugha on defense it will be a tougher game than you are letting on in my opinion.

Probably a lost to the Eagles, cowboys scare me with their explosive offense but we always manage to beat them. I think we are gonna handle the skins and giants. Eagles are just to dynamic of an offense. They will put up some points on our defense, and they had a great d-line last year that got better this year.

If we can sweep the REAL toughest division in football we can sweep the NFC East too. I'm not going to back away from that assessment. :ravensquote:

I think the Giants are the class of this division, but I think we'll beat them and the 'Boys... because we have them at home. We'd beat the Skins at home, at D.C., or anywhere else on the planet... ;)

I think we lose AT Philthydelphia... No Suggs will give Vick the time to scramble and be creative, and this game follows our Monday night opener... plus, our Offense will still be struggling, IMO, with its timing - a new LG, Ray Rice may miss significant training camp practice... lots of variables on the Offensive side, early in the year.

3-1 isn't bad vs this division, though. Of course, the following game - week 3 vs. New England, at home, will be even more pivotal, if we drop the game to the Eagles.

I think we match up well with Philly. Their O line played well last season for sure, but now they lost Peters, and despite some of the optimism about how they signed the best LT on the market as a replacement, let's not forget he's still a downgrade from Peters. I wouldn't be shocked if their O line and running game suffered to the same degree as ours did when we lost Gaither. I like our DBs against their WRs, and Webb is a good matchup against Jackson, as he is with Wallace. The Maclin of 09-10 was a real threat, but the Maclin of 11 was injury prone and never really got going, so we'll see which on shows up in week 2.

I think even with the addition of Ryans, we can attack them in the middle because for all the talk about having great CBs, we can't be sold on Castillo calling the right defense for Nnamdi as we saw last year, and they still have no safeties or other LBs besides Ryans. We have better safeties and overall LBs, and there are better TEs in this league then Celek, although I will say guys like McClain must improve in coverage.

But I really like us over the Eagles in terms of redzone production. They don't have the physical WR threat, and I don't think they can run on us inside our 20. And for all the great things Babin/Jenkins/Cole do as far as rushing the passer, last season it was proven that they can be run on. I think we can power run them inside the 20, as well as use Dickson/Pitta against their weaker guys in the middle.

I think they can and I think they well. Maybe that's the homer in me -- but I honestly am not worried about the NFC East teams for some reason. I'm more worried about the AFC North teams.

I see wins against the Eagles, and Cowboys.
Giants a win as well but not quite as confidant.

I sadly and shamefully see the Skins game as a potential loss due only to the fact that it is following two Pitts-burgh games and an away San Diego game. That is an exhausting physcal three weeks.

as of today i would say that the giants are the best team out of those 5 teams. we have a chance to beat them though. it might be very close games. but i think that we take another step as a team this year. joe proved that he can be trust in any situation. our defense will be as good as ever...

BUT: it is still a long way to go until season starting and there will be a lot of injuries on a lot of teams. so i think we just have to wait and see...hopefully the injury bug is done hitting the ravens this year..

We can. The Eagles could very well crumble under the early season expectations again, and it's week 2 so 50-50 Vick will be on IR by then....

I think we can sweep them. As someone stated, we went 3-1 against them in Flacco's rookie season. That was beating the Eagles, Redskins, and Cowboys(oh that game is going to always be remembered) with the loss coming against the Giants. I think this year we can get the Giants and beat them all and go 4-0 against them. For the Eagles, luckily for us it's a short road trip to Philly after a home game so we'll be alright there. Just we have to hope the Steelers and Bengals lose to them.

Eagles game too. I'll never forget that blow out win. When Ed Reed had that 108 INT return for a TD. ..That was the loudest I ever heard the Bank get.
