It's bad enough that he was caught driving drunk twice. But is he so dumb that he can't even not speed while drunk? Both times he was way over the speed limit, just asking to get pulled over.

Getting pulled over should be the least of his worries he is putting himself in a position to kill himself or others. I think everyone makes mistakes and when you hear about drunk accidents as much as you want to judge it could have ultimately been a first & last really bad choice but when someone continually gets behind the wheel drunk especially THAT drunk it's just not acceptable. How many times has he done this and I cop just wasn't around to pull him over?

You could argue that going 90 mph in a 60 mph zone, and especially going 60 mph in a 35 mph zone are contributing a lot to the chances of something terrible happening, which is why there are speed limits. To be speeding that much while drunk FOR A SECOND TIME shows that he is not only reckless, he is incredibly reckless. If I'm the Jaguars, I immediately regret this draft pick.

Yes, the lighting obviously avoided his head and went in his shirt.

Funny how Justin Blackmon's "character concerns" got overlooked in the draft but yet everyone questioned Michael Floyd and his "character concerns." Now look who is getting in trouble and I don't want to jink anything but so far Floyd has been no trouble.

Blackmon spoke today at a press conference apologizing for what he did and said that he is 'done drinking right now.' He also doesn't think he has a drinking problem and that it was a "poor choice."
“I just think I made a poor choice . . . I put myself in a bad situation . . . it was completely my fault, I’ve just got to make better judgment on that,” Blackmon said.

Yeah alcohol typically enhances reckless behavior like speeding.

Blackmon has pleaded not guilty to his aggravated DUI charge. His hearing is set for July 24th, three days before Training Camp for the Jaguars open up.

LOL at pleading "not guilty". What a joke, when there is proof he broke the law, especially proof of being THREE TIMES over the legal limit how can you plead not guilty. He should be guilty of all charges and have to go to jail. If any regular person does what he did, he is thrown in jail ASAP.
Well you plead not guitly to lower the punishment as much as possible, It's recommended to plead not guilty.
is it not the other way around. If you don't waste time and money, plead guilty the charge is lower

He's seen Big Ben and Hines get away with it, I guess he's planning on giving one of thier lawyers a call? He's famous, he can get away with stuff like this. He doesn't have the money yet, but as soon as he does I bet it goes to the lawyer or judge that bails him out of this.

No, I had a friend go through it. You plead not guilty, hire a good lawyer and he'll get it lowered. Otherwise you get what they setence you to. Either way, he shouldn't of been driving.

Second arrest in twenty months. What were the Jags thinking?
They were thinking that Blackmon may have enough sense to realize how fortunate he is to play in the NFL and that he wouldnt take it for granted by putting other lives in danger because of a selfish decision.

I don't know how it happens, but somehow the worst teams keep finding the worst players. In this case Blackmon isn't a bad WR (hasn't seen the field) but the DUI is not a good sign. Why does it not surprise me that the first player in the 1st round to get in trouble from the law is on a terrible team?

Hmm. Good point. I wonder why. I guess teams as desperate as the Jags would take anyone with a good skillset. No matter what they do lol

Well it's more than that. Universally high-ranked players always seem to do crappy on crappy teams. Or get into trouble. How many teams would've wanted Blackmon? Probably everyone after pick 4. Before the DUI people were applauding the Jags. Now it's like "Well that's why they're the Jaguars", forgetting that they wanted Blackmon for their team as well.
