And he is a repeat offender. Not good for the Jags.

You don't bring a drunk to Jax, there is nothing else to do there. This will be forgotten by the start of the season if he stays clean til then.

He is going to have some trouble getting around without a license. Maybe that will do him some good though.

Welcome to the NFL Justin Blackmon.

I also saw that he was arrested on "aggravated" DUI charges which means his blood alcohol level was .15 or higher.

Arrested at 10:00 a.m. with an BAC over .15. That is impressive or an early sign of alcoholic.

Well wouldn't you drink that much knowing Blaine Gabbert was your QB and hoping you were drunk enough to think Tom Brady or Drew Brees or Peyton Manning was your QB.

Lmao... I might need some of that Blue Magic to think Blaine Gabbert is a capacity qb.

It has come out that Blackmon's official blood level was .24, which is THREE TIMES the legal limit in Oklahoma. It has also been clarified that he was arrested at 3a.m, not 10a.m as previously reported.

Don't know why people do this... Lucky for him he didn't hurt anyone else or himself.

Not to mention that, for players, their image and staying within the law ties into their potential earnings - contracts have clauses, teams/NFL can fine them, could lose sponsorships, etc. So many reasons not to, without even touching the dangers they impose on others and themselves...

Here's the mugshot. As Ray Rice once said, not a good look.

Wow! He was wasted. Thats pretty serious MADD are gonna have his butt. I see a bigger than normal suspension for a 2nd time offender over .24. I still think he can get his shizzle together and be a pro but this certainly hurts him in every way (Suspension$, Endorsement$, Future contract$, public opinion etc). What a setback. Moron. I bet it would be a long story if he told it all out though. .24 is really drunk at 3am. Is he driving back from the bar? Maybe it isn't a long story.

I'm actually very surprised by this. I thought Floyd was supposed to be the bad egg in the receiver class, not Blackmon. I guess I missed his previous offenses too.

What I like to know is why do players like to hang out past midnight? Don't they have a curfew or know from past history that nothing good happens after midnight. For a rookie, you would think Blackmon would have known about players getting caught with incidents that occur after midnight and realize that it would be best to not go out so nothing happens to them.

One more thing... CALL A DAMN TAXI!

Yes, the lighting obviously avoided his head and went in his shirt.

Same here. He has probably the most important fan rooting for him in that little girl. He shouldn't be doing stuff like this with that little girl looking up to him. I hope he can get it together.

He allegedly blew a .24!! That is 3X the legal limit! Wow... why don't these guys call cabs/limos/friends to drive them home? It's absurd.

Yea, you can't impose things like that... However, a .24 is NOT having a drink... Thats on the verge of a serious health concern and hes probably got a chance of being an alcoholic ( if he isnt already). He's an investment...he's not making that investment look to good right now. This is his second offense.

From working late nights and being forced to go out after midnight, I can safely say that your chances of getting in trouble at night are multipled exponentially -- even if you're not looking for trouble. While these players are grown men, they're also targets because of their fame. They have an obligation, both to their teams and themselves, to do all they can to minimize their risk of being placed in a bad situation.

That's not a real reason. Athletes only do things like that for positive publicity. I didn't expect Blackmon to get brought up on something like this because I didn't think he was that type of athlete, not because of some feel good bit from ESPN.

I'm not saying he should be banned from it. If they want to do it that is fine, I could care less. I'm just saying you would think with so many other players who have been arrested, or have had incidents that happened after midnight players would learn from previous players to ensure it doesn't happen to them.

I trust the Jaguars, NFL, and the legal system will make the right decision, if this was the first time I'd be disappointed. But this makes me concerned that it's the second and at such a high level. Other than that, it really isn't my business, except that I will not be drafting him unless it's in the very later rounds of my fantasy football league.

Lots of people, athletes included, go out and drink, but then to get behind the wheel of a car and endanger yourself and others is more than just dumb.

Blackmon has pleaded not guilty to his aggravated DUI charge. His hearing is set for July 24th, three days before Training Camp for the Jaguars open up.

http://rotoworld.com/headlines/nfl/234313/blackmon-pleads-not-guilty-to-aggravated-dui

LOL at pleading "not guilty". What a joke, when there is proof he broke the law, especially proof of being THREE TIMES over the legal limit how can you plead not guilty. He should be guilty of all charges and have to go to jail. If any regular person does what he did, he is thrown in jail ASAP.

It's bad enough that he was caught driving drunk twice. But is he so dumb that he can't even not speed while drunk? Both times he was way over the speed limit, just asking to get pulled over.
