Best advice I can give to a rookie, hmmm let's see:

1) Don't draft a kicker until the final round. Their point spread is the lowest by position. You are not married to any kicker you draft. So instead pick up a player with upside.

2) Practice Mock Drafts. ESPN, CBSSports, NFL.com and Yahoo all have great Mock Draft lobbies. Some of them are more active than others right now (ESPN, Cbssports).

3) Pay attention to your league rules. Every league is different. Some leagues you can start two QBs and they get six points per TD. In those leagues I'm drafting two QBs in the first two rounds. PPR leagues (Point per reception) give more value to WRs and pass-catching RBs (and kill guys like Turner).

4) Remember just because somebody is a bad football player doesn't make them a bad fantasy option. And reverse. Situation, Playing time, Opponents all play factors.

They updated the rankings and he is like barely inside the Top 180, I think he is ranked 179. After speculation of AP possibly going on PUP to start the season, he was dropped to 27 or 28.

Yeah they expect Toby Gerhert to start. But imagine getting AP late 4th or something? Thats 1st round talent when he gets back 100%.
I just hope he keeps out of the police blotter as well...
