Roster Cuts

I think we have a lot of talented players in our camp this year (or at least a lot of players that most of us on here really like). I just have a feeling that the cut down to the 53 man roster this year is going to hurt as we are going to have to cut a couple of guys that we have grown fond of. Thoughts?

Streeter and J. Jones are gonna get cut so D. Reed can finally shine. Or maybe to open a spot so we can trade to get Clayton back.

I'll be hurt if LaQuan gets cut, but I don't think he would cuz he has been outstanding on special team and solid as #3 WR. I'd like him to snag the 3 or 4 WR spot, and I know he'll fight for it.

I would be hurt to see him go too, but that's my point with all the new guys coming in someone is gonna have to get cut that none of us really want to see gone especially if we have any UDFA's that shine in camp (and we usually have at least one every year)

You should be on forum probation for 3 months after that post!

I don't think we'll see much of Streeter this year
This team is conservative with rookies and WR is a tough position to learn

He could have a big future with the team but maybe not this year

Not sure if it would be safe to put him on the practice squad
Could we see an "injury" late in training camp for IR?

I'm wondering about the RB situation because I like Pierce Allen and Berry and WE BETTER GET RAY RICE BACK. So I'm wondering which, if any, RB gets cut/stashed.

Didn't we expect the same thing out of Torrey after we got Lee Evans. Yet Torrey contributed to the team more than Evans did and even caught the game winner in Pittsburgh to help the Ravens sweep the Steelers. I still think Streeter could be a HUGE(and it's somewhat of a pun because of his size) red zone target and make some big Touchdown catches. For some reason when I see Streeter, I'm reminded of Plaxico Burress and I guess the Joe comparisons to Eli is another reason why so I like to say we found Joe's Plaxico.

I am not so sure how it happened since there was no contact in rookie camp, but we released Chad Diehl due to a concussion. Shame too, he seemed like a nice kid with good talent. I really liked him and hoped he would pan out for us.
