Aaron Wilson is reporting a 5 year $40M deal with $25M guaranteed.

I love that deal!! SO excited that Ray Rice will be a Raven for 5 more years and at a bargain price none the less. 8M a year is a steal, I guess all that guaranteed cash makes up for it.

That deal's a win in total value for the Ravens as well. Worth less than Foster's is in total. So much for pushing for AP/CJ money...

2002 buddy, sorry.
Maybe instead of bargaining for Lee Evans we took a chance with a Brandon Marshall we'd have a Lombardi for Ray Lewis and the boys.

Im so daft because im not in high school dissecting frogs little man.

He was still vice pres. of Player personnel. He basically was in charge of scouting. He was also responsible for studying players in FA and giving the GM his opinion on who to sign.

Please keep the talks about the new contract in here until the dust settles.

i would say trade him... the fumble at indy 2010, the same kinda fumble at pit 2011: ran down , ball punched out from behind, he doesnt really break tackles, needs more shifty moves, hits top gear to quick and can be ran down and the gimpy gallop is not fancy. i think running backs do that for style. i swear, ray got some skills, but we need that man in carolina, 28. if we could get him, we would be gettin a 2000 yard rusher. he nevers goes down on first contact, great vision, athletic emmitt-like stride, ball control and pull away speed db is not going to tackle him out there. wishful thinking

Which mod unlocked this thread?
Do you want me to just delete it? Despite my well thought out premise, after the deal today there's no way he is traded.

with or without deal my opinion stays, why do you think they franchised him to begin with? its call gm having serious doubts about long term deals... like i said, rice has not been there in the playoffs, all i remember him doing is fumbling in crucial moments. i wish we would act like the patriots sometimes, u get greedy, then leave and go eat elsewhere. if you can bench 315, run a 4.5, and follow a fullback, you can play running back. watch our rookies. watch. i think rice may do a marion barber

What in the world are you talking about? Greedy? a player wanting to get paid for his talent,,,yea how dare he. fumbling in the playoffs was huge, but guess what...you really think we would of even been there if rice hasnt produced the way he did, or the fact that he didnt fumble one time during the season? No rb is perfect and rice has been consistantly great...You people who want to rely on our rookies to take over a elite rb's role crack me up

thats you peoples problems, its really not how you get there, its how you get out of there , and if you get out with a lombardi, all is well,... but when you keep losing basically the same way all time, c'mon man...
i mean, where is lee evans? where is cundiff? asante samuel dropped a 19-0 season (marinate, eli's pass, think back), was he in NE that next year, NOPE... RB's can be cheap, we say now, it's a qb driven league, Terrell Davis, 6th round pick, 2k yds, got elway SB!!! man you caught up in hype. when i get my team, im gonna us Kraft as a model to make key moves...

. . . Keep Rice . . . jeez! All that has been said is . . well .. pointless. We have Rice, need Rice . .for now! Trade him later. Want to talk about something, talk about Flaco's contract.
