Bobby Rainey?

Ive been following WKU for awhile now, and have been impressed about this kid despite the level of comp. He seems to have a natural feel for the position with many tools. Hes proven he can handle the heavy load, but you gotta wonder if any of that took some tread off early. I love his running style and ability to catch the ball out of the backfield. WKU will take a big hit this season and I was pumped when we nabbed him undrafted.

Thoughts?

He has a shot if the team decides to carry 4 RB, although he would likely never see an offensive snap. If he can perform on ST, whether that be returning, gunning, etc., then he has a real shot at the roster. However, with the addition of Jacoby Jones and Asa Jackson, both with return abilities, I don't see him making the team.

My expectations this year is PS, hopefully he has a nice preseason to make his case

I think he goes to the practice squad. We will activate him if Jones, Jackson, or someone else gets injured who does KR. That's my guess.

So is he fast? I didn't really hear much about him until we drafted him. I was hoping to get Chris Rainey but I just want a great KR/PR to strengthen our special teams.

I do feel Rice, Pierce and Allen are locks. I think he competes with Berry for a PS spot.

Not really fast, but is shifty and can get it done in open space

i cant see us keeping around 5 RBs

He's a midget and there is no way this guy makes it in the NFL but might be good at pee wee football or maybe the arena league!

If he turns out to be a quality KR/PR I would say he stays and one of the others goes......but I agree that's the only way he'll probably make this team.
