They put a football deity on the pitch with that substitution, and it worked. They had the other guy on because otherwise it wouldn't be fair to Costa Rica.

So who do you guys have in the Finals?  I think it'll wind up being Germany (obviously) and The Netherlands with Deutschland ultimately being the victor.  Brazil doesn't have Neymar, which basically means they don't have an offense and I fully expect the Germans to take advantage.  Argentina has Messi and, despite what today might have indicated, that's about it.  While Costa Rica played the Dutch tough, I think they bounce back for the win in that one.  In the third place game, I think Argentina edges Brazil.

Pretty much the same feelings.  Brazil will struggle heavily without Neymar and Thiago Silva.  Germany should handle that one pretty easily.  Brazil doesn't have much else on the attack.  Hulk and Fred have been non factors.

 

The second game is a bit tougher.  Argentina still only has Messi, but the Netherlands have been struggling a bit against some teams they should be beating pretty easily.  With that being said, the Dutch have still had plenty of scoring chances that just don't seem to go in.  If they can keep that up, they should win.

I do believe that Germany should be able to win in the semifinals, however, I suppose the Netherlands-Costa Rica match is one I shall have to wait and see in that respect.
