I actually wouldn't be bothered if Ryan were over flacco. If tebow were I'd throw up.
Thats my thing... If they had Ryan and Flaco on this list and Flacco was over him... I would have great discussions on this board but over all.. I can understand that... but saying a guy who made it to the playoffs and had top numbers is not in the top 13 in QB's... Thats kinda crazy to me

You guys will be fine. I'm more concerned about my team on the field rather than my team in the media.

Not bad for his spot, a few more catches by the wrs in the upcoming season and clutch plays and flacco would break the 50s spots easily

Matt Ryan is not on the list. There are 13 QBs on the list: Brady, E. Manning, P. Manning, Rodgers, Big Ben, Rivers, Stafford, Vick, Newton, Romo, Tebow, and as you saw Flacco.

I repeat: Matt Ryan is NOT on the list.
Didn't you list just 12 QBs above?

Great video! I am just glad that some of Joe's accomplishments of this past season finally made it to the NFL's statistics and research department! lol :P

Seriously though, it was great to see Joe has earned the respect of his peers in this player poll for what we have known all along.
Whoops, you're right. But the QB I forgot wasn't Matt Ryan, it's Drew Brees.

NFL.com tips you off on who is going to be on the list through who is available for fanvoting. The 13 QBs above are all available for fanvoting. Matt Ryan is not. And NFLN explicitly said that there are only 13 QBs on the list. Ryan is not one of them.

I guess the rest of the league didn't get the memo that Flacco is "the best quarterback in the NFL"...

Regarding Dukes, as painful as it is to hear he's only stating what the majority of fans around the NFL think. Flacco is mediocre. He's definately not elite and definitely not a franchise quarterback.

Cant STAND Jamie Dukes. I'm watching (listening) to the reactions show while getting ready for class. He basically just said Joe made the this due to "street cred" but their "player rater 2012"-anonymous player twitter guy said Joe doesn't even deserve to be on the list.... how does that make any sense?

All I hear is stats this and stats that.... if the only thing that matters is stats I can go look up the top 100 players stats wise, I don't even need this show.

I thought Warner's comments made a lot of sense when they discussed why Joe is rated ahead of Romo by players. Kurt says that Joe has shown that he is "clutch" and Romo has shown that he isn't.

It makes perfect sense - that player rater is a defensive player from the NFC South - Flacco torched those teams in 2010. He's probably still upset over it, and embarrassed that after having 3 quarterbacks in the top 100 last year, they only have 1 in that division this year. Imagine if he's a Falcon and has had to endure all of the scrutiny after Matt Ryan's playoff performance this year, or a Buc with the way Josh Freeman melted this year.

I've said this a few times, but the thing about Tony Romo is you can almost guarantee he will melt when you need him the most i.e. the game at the Meadowlands late in the year where he threw a pick in the third quarter then fumbled and lost the ball in the fourth. And the fact that he couldn't score at all in the first half.

Even with that 74th spot, which i think is alright, he's getting nagged like crazy lol. "The best? Not." sort of stuff. The media really takes everything out of context... Same as when Reed said that Flacco needed to improve, and after that, "we ALL do". They actually wrote again that Reed had been after him as well.. this network.

Elite is one thing but how can u say not a franchise QB when he has started for 4 seasons and not been challenged by other Qbs competing for job? Sounds like the FO values him, I do think people around here hype him up A LOT but he is still a franchise QB even if he isn't elite

the Flacco hate (from the media talking heads) is insane!

Flacco is a very polarizing individual in the eyes of the media and fans. on one hand, "they" (media cats) may wanna give him his props for all that he has done as a QB in his first 4 years in the league. and then on the other hand...they refrain from giving him too much credit because of our awesome Ravens defense anchored by the great Ray Lewis and Ed Reed that has been in place for years now! go figure! sooo, IF the Ravens lose...Flacco automatically gets the blame as the QB. then we hear chants of "he sucks!" or "he's trash!" or "Flacco is garbage!" etc. but then, IF the Ravens win, it is NOT because of Flacco (in the media's eyes) but because of the Ravens defense bailing him out! sooo, no matter what happens...Flacco can't seem to catch a break! and that's a damn shame!

lmao @ "He has Anquan Boldin!" in the video

What is that too much fire power to deserve credit? I forgot your not a good QB unless all your wr's are scrubs. He says it like Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are playing with high schoolers. Boldin is a top 15 wr at best these days, yet guys like Brady, Rodgers, Rivers, ect. great supporting casts don't get the bulk of the credit, ok.. If you wanna play that game, you could say that about every good QB in football.

Tom Brady

Seahawks Safety: Man he's got Wes Welker! and Gronk! and Hernandez! and Ellis-Green! and Ochocinco! and Bill Billicheck! And a top 5 O-Line! and all of the defenses audibles a week in advance thanks to umm.. "film study"!"

Their anonymous player doesn't have the nuts to not be anonymous. Who cares what he says?

The players rated him above Matty Ice and Tony Romo so he's clearly starting to get the respect he deserves.

Haters gonna hate.

Wait, wait, wait. Alexir defending Flacco? Something's not right in the universe. lol

Really though, Jamie Dukes is an idiot. He was arguing with Warner that Romo is better than Flacco because he has "better tools". Well Jamie, if Romo has "better tools", how come he has what 1 playoff win to his credit, despite 8 seasons in the league? Besides "better tools" Romo also has "better weapons" like the one of the best TEs in the game and 2 of the top 20 WRs in the league. The facts are just like Warner stated. Joe may not have the stats, but he comes up big for his team in the clutch. Romo has been far more inconsistent in big games.

Point taken, thanks for taking the time to reply.

The FO isn't going to invest another high pick at this time in a QB. Flacco has shown some improvement in his time with the organization... I'm in the boat that I'd love to see him take the next step and win multiple championships and get his name up the leaderboard when I view passing stats. Heck throw for 30 TD's or Pass for 4,000 yards in this pass happy league, quit being amongst the league leaders at the position at putting the ball on the ground....

My definition of a franchise quarterback is the organization takes a big step back without that guy.. I don't think the front office would have a hard time replacing Flacco's numbers at all.. Flacco hasn't shown to this point he's that guy. Here's hoping he does it next season .

I'm glad he made the list.

Him talking to Torrey on the sidelines during the 9ers game always cracks me up. "You're leading the NFL with 20.3 yards per catch." Torrey says not after today and laughs. "No, you still are. It's 'cuz you got a gun-slinger, moustached quarterback..."

You clearly dont understand what Flacco means to the team if you think he is easily replaced. You seem to be obsessed with statistical production which only tells a part of a QBs performance.

Jamie Dukes is a tool, i knew he was just going to say something about Flacco, i just don't get it. Did Flacco sleep with his daughter, wth.

I will be seriously P.O.ED if Matt Ryan is ranked higher than Flacco, We all know he proved he was a better QB.

And we all know Cam Newton is going to be ranked higher, i have no clue why. I really do believe his season was a fluke. All he did was throw the ball to wide open receivers that actually caught the ball.

Look how many Drops our WRERS had, hmmm , yea, we would have played and probably won the SB had they Caught the ball.

Cam Cameron, just let Joe throw the ball because running it wasn't getting it done. Teams know when we were going to run it, because thats all we do is run it.

LOL, so let me get this right..... A member here is only allowed to reference Flacco's numbers when they are favorable in comparison to the rest of the league.

You're allowed to make any comment you'd like, but to say Flacco is easily replaced is pretty misguided. Quarterbacks don't magically produce numbers, Receivers and Tight Ends have to make plays and to be quite frank there aren't a lot of playmakers on the offense. The only really good player is rice, and even he has flaws.

I'm always telling Newton fans the same thing!!!!!!! I mean i know no one watches the pro bowl and it doesn't matter but when he stepped in he had a horrendous showing. I think that says something though no one tries in that game and he was picked off three times. Anyways back on topic I'm glad people finally see that Joe is better than Ryan and he is starting to get some respect around the league.
