Flacco At No.74

210 posts in this topic

Let me just say, the top 100 is worthless. But at least he's above tebow and romo, so I don't have to throw up in my mouth.

But it's actually a pretty good video, it's nice to hear people say good things.

I honestly didn't think he'd make the list.
If it tells us one thing though, it tells us he's starting to get respected more and more amongst his fellow players.

Webb's in there too. He's not going to be on it, I don't think. Which is a shame. Because he was the 2nd best player on our team according to pro football focus.

You're mad he's on the list and I'm semi surprised he made it considering they said I think only 7-8 players made it. Ngata, Suggs, Lewis, Leach, Rice, Reed and Yanda I think would all be a higher priority. Though he made the list, I'm still skeptical about who's actually voting people in with Tebow even showing up on it. My only problem would be he's not going to be ahead of Matty "Ice Cold In The Playoffs" Ryan.
Matt Ryan is not on the list. There are 13 QBs on the list: Brady, E. Manning, P. Manning, Rodgers, Big Ben, Rivers, Stafford, Vick, Newton, Romo, Tebow, and as you saw Flacco.

I repeat: Matt Ryan is NOT on the list.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA... (All caps were needed)
ZERO, what does that represent?
A. Playoff Wins
B. Points put up in last playoff game by the Matt Ryan lead offense
C. All of the above

I dislike him so much and it has nothing to do with him. It's all media

Well, apparently there are only put 10 quarterbacks ahead of Flacco, which is honestly about where I'd rank him. Personally, I think Flacco deserves a position in the mid forties, but there are an awful lot of players who aren't just "good" at their positions that I'd rank above Flacco.

Evans was actually pretty fair and stuck up for Flacco. He even predicted during Total Access that it would be Flacco and not Ryan that is the QB listed in the 70s.

I didn't watch it but having them both dog Flacco isn't a good look so him countering Dukes isn't that surprising to me and predicting Joe would be on there doesn't mean that is how he views him. He usually dismisses the impact Joe has on the Ravens success. I'm just not a fan.

saw the reaction show and i am sick and tired of jamie's excuse of riding a good team. Tony has a good defense too minus the corners but didn't the ravens defense have the same exact problem in 09-10 seasons (lack of secondary). and romo also had one of the best TE's in the game, dez bryant, a stellar d-line, and a smarter OC. the riding the team excuse is BS. outside of ray rice, where is joe's weapons (and an o-line for that matter)?

Had a chance against the giants, they blew it. Had another opportunity to get in to the playoffs by beating the giants week 17, failed miserably. blew a huge lead against the lions. and thats just 2011. just is not a clutch player AT ALL.

joe clinched a playoff berth by going 15-19 in a hostile, cold, bengals environment, got the largest comeback in playoff history, 92 yard winning drive, responded to failure from SD, beat tom brady (in my eyes), and played great games in every divisional game. pretty good 2011 record as far as being clutch.
NFL talking heads will disagree with you on Romo. ;)

Not that I do.

I think we just need to accept the fact that no matter what the Ravens due, our players (sans Ray and Ed, and sometimes guys like Suggs and Ngata) will not be given a fair shake by the rest of the NFL media, when compared to other teams' players.

About where he belongs.

I expect him to reach top 25 after this season.
Somehow Matt Ryan will still be ahead of him...
Pretty much reality.

Even if Matt Ryan threw for 15TDs 18INTs - and Joe throws for 30TDs 13INTs; Ryan would stil be ranked by the 'analysts' as higher.

Yea... I dont think Matt Ryan is on this list.. I dont see how he has top #'s in his career (top 5-8 in mostly all the QB rankins) ... IDK,... I get the playoff take and he should get blasted for that.. No doubt about that... But im sure Peyton Manning would have made this list his 5 years out of his first 6 years and he didnt win a playoff game in his first 6 try's

When i saw Tebow on this list.. I pretty much knew Ryan will miss this list.. Because if Tebow made the list.. Its not going by stats or how you look... The guy won games and won a playoff game.

I'm not saying this as a Falcon Fan... Just saying this as a football fan... Last year i even said I dont get how Freeman was ahead of Flacco

Matt Ryan threw over 4000 yards, 29 TDs, and 92.2 passer rating... Its not like the guy doesnt have the stuff to compete with Flacco... A slap in the face would be if they choose Tebow over Flacco
Like I said, they're basically equal, with arguments for either QB to be slightly higher/lower.

But the NFL media makes it look like that Matt Sanchez is Tom Brady, and that Joe Flacco is Jamarcus Russell.

I actually wouldn't be bothered if Ryan were over flacco. If tebow were I'd throw up.

This year stats/play was no where near equal.. Just saying

I think that last remark is a stretch.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO one has Sanchez over Flacco right now... In the past Sanchez was greatly over rated... But now... No one says Sanchez looks good or says Flacco looks horrible... As a Raven fan you have to admit.. Flacco production should be higher.... As a Falcon fan i can say Ryan has to step it up in the playoffs.. No excuses.

I feel like Sanchez and Flacco is blessed with the same blessing and Curse... Im not comparing the 2.. Flacco is way better then Sanchez.. Just saying the situations... The Blessing is.. With the Defense they have,... They have to just play par to get by.. They can have horrible games and wins... Flacco can just go play ... The Curse is with a D like that.. unless you look great in a big game and your D look bad.. The QB will never get as much props fopr the great things they do unless they win a championship... Go back to big ben first championship.. He didnt fully get credit because he was able to have a horrible game and win because of that D... He start getting that topish respect when he balled out even/ won them big games even when the D looked bad..

It sucks but its the blessing and the curse... Atleast you know you will have a chance to always be in the hunt
