I think he will just be practice squad unless he has a near perfect camp and cundiff, well, doesnt...
Cundiff is pretty good in camp. He beat out what's his face 2 years ago. Then got into the pro bowl that year. Who was it?

Cundiff's interview yesterday had a nervous, jumpy tone to it and it just made me feel uncomfortable for some reason. It just gave me a weird vibe. He also said in that interview on BR.com "I'm standing here, the team doesn't have anyone else here, the team believes in me..." and honestly I thought to myself ohhhhh brother this could get interesting. Guess Cundiff doesn't tweet alot. lol

I hope they do sign Justin Tucker, let them compete and the best guy wins out.

I can't believe we got rid of Tucker. Billy needs some competition. I honestly thought they would keep him for camp. Wasn't the whole idea to have an extra kicker in camp?

He never signed in the first place. However, he is coming back next week for another "tryout" where I assume he'll be officially signed.

Obviously Cundiff is a good if not great kicker, however his confidence and especially ours has gone. So could this Tucker kid realistically be our starting kicker next year?

It didn't seem that nervous. He is telling the truth too. His teammates believe in him. That helps morale alot. I think he is our kicker 100 percent. If he gets cut then so be it. Even though it would suck because I have my hat signed by him. I still like him as a player but the font office knows what they are doing.
LOL I need to stop posting in this topic.. I am repeating myself. Go Cundiff. Whatever neg me.

Lol Cursona, I wouldn't neg. you for that! I think Cundiff is a good kicker, and a great person. It is just in that interview I felt he was overcompensating a little and seemed a little hyped up and jumpy. But probably valid feelings I am sure considering the scrunity he has been under and will be under for a while. I think was interesting while Cundiff was here and giving that comment in that interview, almost simultaneously, within a few hours Tucker was tweeting that he was on his way back to Maryland. Oh the irony in that. I wonder how much Billy knew? That was my point. Anyway competition is a good thing and I am sure the Ravens will put the best player on the field and I'll back ever which one it will be.

I'm not ready to throw Cundiff out just yet but he does really need to work on hitting those 50 yarders. I would feel much, much better if Tucker proves for real and we're able to carry 2 kickers this season. Kickers who've missed THE BIG ONE have not fared so well in NFL history the season after.

I actually feel like carrying 2 kickers this season could be a strong possibility. I don't think we'll need all 4281 linebackers that we had on the roster last year! :)

Haha I hear you or should I say read you? Cundiff has to know. Via Facebook or I'm sure he hears on the radio or something. Cundiff I think is our kicker. Cundiff has redeemed himself before. If we have his back and so does the team he will be even more confident. Right it seems Cundiff is our kicker. As Ravens fans we have to support that. It's the kinda the same with the deals with Rice and Flacco.

I'd rather use that spot on an extra offensive lineman.

I agree with this and just another reason to look at other kickers

Really ? , what did Cundiff do in away games this year ? I think it was about a 50
percent success rate
on field goals . Completely unacceptable !

The browns stadium is where he missed the most. Matt Stover even said that field is tough to kick on at a windy day. Also Billy was injured. You must not remember Haukschrapoop because he missed everything home and away. But whatever this isint about last year or years before. I think Billy is our guy and if no one likes it but me then so be it. I am not changing my decision. Go Cundiff.

It's now official. Tucker has signed with the Ravens. No word on the length of the contract.

Livas was waived today in order to make room for Tucker, per rotoworld.

Sorry. It should be interesting to see the Camp Battle between Cundiff and Tucker and how they both do in the Pre-Season.

Lets go Tucker; we need a clutch kicker like you who don't choke at 32yd FG.
Agreed. I know I'd rather not sit there and get bad field position on purpose so he can break the NFL Record for longest FG but I just hope our return game improves drastically this year to where Joe and the offense have great field position and leads to more Touchdowns and shorter Field Goals if necessary.

Cundiff's inability to kick long range hurts him. Now that he's getting inconsistent to kick under 40 yarders hurts him even more. He better improve dramatically from last year's diaster and still have his automatic touchback to stay with the team.

I don't think there is any competition coming, Harbaugh seems loyal to BIlly and he was just signed to that new contract so he'll be given every opportunity to keep his job. If he struggles making FGs when the season starts then he won't be around long.

..i'm not counting Tucker as legitimate competition, that's more to appease the fans and have Billy 'win' the job again

Ravens fans should "Grbac" Cundiff. We should just taunt and boo him until he retires or is released. In my opinion he deserves it more than Elvis ever did.

It's not that Cundiff completely sucked last year. He didn't miss a FG at home. It was away games that he was terrible. 55% on the season. But he wasn't the only Raven who did poorly on the road.
