I will be getting this game soley based off the fact the Black Ops was a fun game.

Didn't enjoy Black Ops anywhere near as much as Modern Warfares 2 and 3, so definitely won't be going anywhere near Black Ops 2.

Other games + the MW3 Map Packs'll be enough to tide me over to MW4/whatever they decide to call the next one in the Modern Warfare series.

Honestly I think people were to rough on Black Ops. It was a solid game even tho the graphics were not the best it still delivered on what the CoD community wanted. The servers have been worst on MW3 then Black Ops and thats saying something considering I only played Black Ops for it to take up the time until MW3 came out.

Completely agree. MW3 is the worst game of the CoD series yet in my opinion. I'll definitely be getting black ops 2, not only for the multiplayer but im a huge fan of the zombies mode. And its supposed to get even bigger and better in #2. Can't wait.

Didn't even see you responded to me lol. But yes, that is the main reason black ops separated itself from all the other CoDs. And MW3 tried to do something like it with the "survival" mode, and failed.

I was a HUGE fan of MW2 multiplayer, i hve like 26 days played. But im also a huge fan of black ops multiplayer. MW3 multiplayer however, is a completely different story. Worst one yet, imo.

Bought Black Ops but just couldn't get into it. I guess it's not really my taste. I have no idea why because it meets all the things I'm interested in a shooter I just couldn't get the hang of it. Pass...but to each his/her own.

Apparently kills earned by your team while your UAV is up will earn you points towards your pointstreak. What a load of crap! The UAV spam in MW3 is one of the most frustrating things about the game and now it's only going to be worse.

Yep. The lag can be annoying at times but at least I don't have a PS3.

After having played it recently, it's simple:

- Buy it if you're a fan of the last two COD games
- Don't buy it if you've hated the last two COD games

For fans, there's enough that's changed to make it feel fresh. For detractors, not enough has changed to make it feel different.

I fall in the latter category. I gave Black Ops 2 a chance at a friend's house, and instantly, it felt like the same exact game as before. Nothing has changed about the playstyle. I still do well in some matches by sheer luck, while others, I struggle heavily. Matchmaking is still questionable. The graphics online, as usual, are garbage -- not that I'm a graphics snob, but I expect more out of COD when Battlefield 3 can still look gorgeous online with many more players in-game. Offline graphics are an improvement, but the visual style is still near-identical to the last two games.

If you're a detractor, this game won't change your mind. But if you're a fan, you'll happily pay $60 for a refined version of the same experience.

I think this game is a little more realistic than the others. However, I'm already kind of bored of it. I don't like where the COD series is headed. If they continue the trend of going towards futuristic gameplay, this will be the last game I buy in this series. Zombies is fun but SO frustrating.

Yeah I have to agree with you. Campaign was the best of the series IMO. Multiplayer is fun with a few people, but will get boring fast. And Zombies on TranZit is hard, but still fun with friends. I don't think i'll be buying whatever the next CoD is.
