Predict Our Record

216 posts in this topic

Now that the draft is over and the season is only months away I am just coming to give me prediction now reagrdless fo anymore injuries.

without Suggs for half or the whole season I still say 11-5 if Rice holds out then 9-7.

we will get a home playoff game in the first round.

12-4. Damn it Flacco I need you to have a better rating than Manning through the season too. My football bets started early this year.

11-5 Will not sweep the division again. Stuck with a wild card game as usual. Who knows how it goes from there. Rice might hold out but I believe he'll come into the season in top shape no matter what.

12-4. Rice is a valuable player, but he does not win games by himself, and he can be replaced.

9-7.
Lost our best defensive player, murderous schedule, brand new DC, All Pro HB holding out and an absolute mixed bags of events at the Oline leave a very large hill to climb.

Optimistically going with 11-5.
We have one of the hardest schedules on paper and lost Suggs, here's to hoping someone steps up.

If Flacco breaks out, then I feel good about a 13-3 or 12-4 season.

If offense continues its mediocrity, then it might be a long season, might be like 2009, where we went 9-7.

I think 11 wins would be amazing but Im thinking 9 wins, good enough for 2nd in division. wild card.

Which Manning? Because I actually think Eli will have a better season than Peyton.

I can see 9-7, but im not 100% sure that will be good enough for second. I think 10-6 will be needed for that. Not that I dont have faith in the Ravens to do this, but the Bengals did improve a lot and showed they can compete. That + a 2 game easier schedule than us (jax and miami) I can see them sneaking a few wins to get to 10-6.

Browns x2
Jax
Miami
Redskins
Raiders (end of season so mcfadden will likely be injured by then)
Kansas City

Thats 7 right there they should win. They will probably be able to beat 1 more nfc east oppn, possibly the chargers (due to how many injury concerns are on that team now - meachem gates floyd matthews aka anyone not named rivers) and may even split a game with us and the steelers. Either they have a much easier path to 9-7 than we do and can possibly get 10-6.

Damn it... Eli.. I think its very possible and I hope we stay with the receivers we have instead of trying to pick anoher FA bum up. I will not forget the upward slope he was on(Flacco) til last year and though his numbers dropped he showed he was clutch which makes no sense other than people who watched him closely.

I looked over the schedule briefly and I'd say there are 7 wins, leaving 9 up in the air. I'd say we win 3-5 of those games, leaving us anywhere from 10-6 to 12-4. Of course, that's saying everything goes according to plan, but I are us in that range, more on the lower side. I honestly don't think this is a super bowl year for us though. I see us being eliminated in the first or second round of the playoffs. Just an opinion.

If we play like we did last year, rising to beat the good teams and falling to the lowlier opponents then we should win most of our games, but I think it's still too early to tell.

I don't think Rice will hold out into the regular season either. There's still 3 or 4 months before the season and his contract will be top priority to the Front Office and it should get done sooner rather than later.

I was thinking before the Suggs injury a 11-5 record but now with him out for the year I will knock it down to 9-7. Suggs is now the Ravens best defensive player, he will be missed with his pass rush and leadership on the field.

If we get a trustworthy kicker and KR.... Heck just a special teams boost in general I think 13-3. The offense should be solid and the D should be as nasty as ever (yeah Suggs hurts bigtime, but I really believe in Kruger - plus Upshaw in theory should be a beast). If not 10-6.

No doubt the front office has Rice as a top priority but I still see an 11-5 season coming probably a wild card but Baltimore never seems to not rise to the occasion at the wild card position. Speedy recovery to Suggs but it hard to have a tip top defense without the major player of his caliber.

The texans got it done without mario williams last year who is no terrell suggs but is a good example of a defense with depth stepping up when their defensive star was out and i think the ravens do the same. 11-5 we win the division... split with steelers sweep the other 4 games

i see 10-6 or 9-7. I just think our luck runs out this year, we have been very lucky and have made the playoffs the last 4 years in a row, longest active streak currently. Brutal schedule, losing suggs, didnt make a drastic improvement on offense with a playmaker: unless Torrey becomes a elite wr and has a monster year....i just dont see it this year. If suggs didnt go down id say 11-5

[/quote]The Bengals will lose to KC and split with the Browns. Anyone can quote me on this.

I'm still not a believer in the Bengals. They benefited from a cake schedule last year. Anytime they played a good team they faltered. They remind me of the 2010 Bucs, who were supposed to break out, along with Josh Freeman, in 2011. I think they go 8-8 at best.

As for us, I say 9-7 or 10-6.

13-3. Losses to SD, one to Cincy, one to Pitt. 4-2 in the division might win it. I'm confident in our offense to gain more chemistry together and our young defenders to step up. Ray needs a ring, Reed needs one, too many players need this to let one injury set us back, and we usually strive under pressure. We don't face nearly as many top flight defenses as last year either.

i am thinking 11-12 wins i am hoping that the loss of t-sizzle dose not hurt us as badly as i think it will, with that said i am still hoping and praying we have a great season...... GO RAVENS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's nobody in the schedule we can't beat...just saying. I know we will lose some but we match up against most teams very well.

Pitt is in just as much if not more distress due to Ben getting older, contract issues with Wallace, continuing o-line uncertainty, and cap issues. They are formidable but not scary. Cincy still has much to prove. The Giants are the most balanced team we'll face and we can certainly beat them. The Texans are good too but they aren't better than us by any huge margin...I don't understand all the negativity. We have a damn good football team

i'll quote you on it because I acutally have money on the Bengals winning the Battle of Ohio. Just for the record they are 5-1 over the last 3 years. Anyway I wouldnt be so hard on the Bengals. They had a very similar schedule to us last year and 4 of their seven loses came to the Ravens and the Steelers (the elite of the elite in terms of defense) and remember they played us to within 1 score each time and were one play away from tying it 2x. You have to give them a bit more respect than saying thats a fluke.

As for KC, I dont see them losing to KC. You're taking a top 10 defense against a middle of the pack defense - Bengals win there. After the draft, the Bengals have more offensive weapons than the chiefs do. You could make the case that Dalton is better than Cassel, but i'll give you a push here.

Who the hell is predicting 9-7? You guys are pathetic. This is like last year when people said 8-8 because we lost Mason, Heap, and Wilson.

I've been tying to tell people last year with a hurt Peyton we had an all time easy schedule, Nfc west and afc south. The only divisional team they beat were the Browns. They did beat the Texans and Niners but that was after Schaub had gone down and then got dominated by them in the playoffs. With nothing but good teams on our schedule I see us flourishing and them maybe going 9-7 again. Ravens always seem to play up or down to competition.

We did not have an all time easy schedule either. We played 9 of 10 top 10 defenses

This.
This is why we never will get respect untill we change it and i dont blame people for saying it. Look at our losses last year:chargers, seahawks, jags, titans. Not one was a playoff team, winning just one of those games would of changed our season last year i bet.
