Truthfully, I don't see how it could have helped them that much. Unless they taped defensive signals and were able to decipher them in like half a second on the field, knowing the plays your opponent runs doesn't really help you beat them, IMO. For instance, in 2008 everyone knew the Ravens were going to run the ball. Flacco threw like 20-25 times a game and we just ran it down everyone's throats. Yeah they cheated, but I don't think it affected the outcomes of games all that much. I just think they had a great collection of players that Parcells drafted, and now that they're all gone the mystique of Bellichick has been exposed somewhat.

They did tape defensive signals. Then they memorized them, and if you can't really see how that's going to be beneficial then I think you're out of your mind.

Its like playing poker against someone who can see your hand.

In any case, going forward they aren't going to be able to get away with it. It's like all the PEDs in baseball in the 90s - you can't change that people did it, and I don't hold any grudges against people who did. It's over, it's done with, and just like those guys, these guys were exposed and are paying for it by no longer being able to compete effectively. I think the only reason why the Patriots have won so much is because they have absolutely no threats in their division - Miami has been a mess for years, Buffalo even longer, and as long as the Jets are committed to Sanchez I see them going nowhere. Which is why if the offense is where I think it will be in 2012, I expect us to beat the Patriots fairly comfortably. We're at home, and it's early in the season that the Pats won't really have a book on us yet.

Maybe I am crazy. Maybe I am delusional. Perhaps I am schizophrenic, but I think that the offense takes a major step forward this year. For this reason, I want us to sign Flacco long term NOW! I am very worried about signing him next year, because I think his price will skyrocket after this season.

We have improved our offensive line. We have improved our running game because of the improve line and because of Pierce. We have improved our passing game with the new OL and with Streeter. I think our TEs take a major step forward as does Flacco, Smith, Doss, and Williams with Streeter making a minor impact.

I think our offense will gave a lot of different looks, making it very difficult to game plan against.

I do think our TEs are much more important to focus on then our #3 WR at this point. I see a lot more 2 TE 2 WR sets then 3 WR sets, or just lining up the TEs at WR.

Hoping to see a lot of improvement from Dickson this season, with a lot more 2 TE sets.
