Suggs Achilles Injury

476 posts in this topic

Wow just saw Adam Schefter report this. Smh after his best season yet.... I was super pumped to see these kids play opposite of him.

But this means that the young players Kindle , Kruger and Upshaw have to step up and make an impact....

I just hope this injury doesn't hinder Suggs past this season, he's entering his prime.

6 month recovery, that's till the beginning of November.

So he'll be back by the last 3rd of the season and the playoffs, it's not that bad.

Who the hell is our training staff to allow this kind of thing to happen or was he working out at home, not at the castle?

It sucks. it blows. it really does but next man up. Instead of 1 starting job; upshaw, kruger, kindle are competing for 2.

He was playing basketball and he tore it. It happens. Not much we can do now. It does really suck. We've lost our best pass rusher.

I think we wil be fine, though. This might work out for the best or the worst. It applies extra pressure to Kruger, Upshaw, and Kindle. If they want to make this team, now is their chance. This is their opportunity. If they are hungry then they will eat. I am actually over it and have moved on from denial to acceptance.

I hope we won't make. A knee-jerk reaction and trade for someone. Isn't Andre Carter still available? I can see us pick him up.

Caps lose in triple OT, Ravens lose one of last year's best defensive players.

This is not a good morning for Baltimore sports fans.

Considering the list of elite quarterbacks we play this year, missing Suggs is a HUGEEEE LOSS!

I kinda want to cry.

I don't think it will hinder him past this season but you never know. It's not like an ACL tear where it can drastically change the player's performance. Achilles tendon injuries can be bad, but I think he will be fine long-term.

I agree. I'm just excited to see how Kindle, Kruger, Upshaw, and McClellan take advantage of this opportunity. I really hope we do not trade for someone.

I hope a stupid basketball game was worth it Suggs...
[/quote]

Not like he wanted to tear it or put extra strain on his legs..... ACL,MCL, and Achilles injuries just happen suddenly with no warning, it could have just as easily occurred a month from now in drills or sprints....

Not like he just pulled an Amare Stoudemire and injured himself being dumb

Maybe basketball was his workout.

Did this happen this morning or is it just being reported now?

Things happen in 3! The number 55! Seau dies, Suggs tears, Schultz sucks.

Dang. That is the worst person we could have lost on defense. Him or Ngata. That puts us in a major hole right off the bat.

Well now we are really going to have the young pass rushers shine.

U summed it up! Because I too, have been thinking for the last 2 years that this year would be Ray's last ( of course I was hoping we could finish with a title last year so he could just retire on top ).
I know this has to be more devastating to Suggs than any of us fans, the energy he brings is infectious. I just hope the rest of the offseason the roster is relatively healthy.....
