Well we may know in the near future when they do scan his brain to check for football related injuries.
Didnt Dave Duerson do something similar to this a year or two ago with the intentions that his brain would be scanned.
even if he has football related injuries, which he probably does, that doesnt mean he committed suicide because of them.... thats the point im making. No one will know, unless he left a note which hasnt been reported, so any conclusion will be guess work
he did yes, but doesnt mean he killed himself because of said injuries, he had a lot going on in his life, going wrong in his life like the collapse of his business, the breakup of his marriage, and he was in debt..

terrible tragedy. he seemed like a very good man. i just his mother make a statement about it and it was absolutely heart wrenching. depression is a terrible thing and it can affect anyone. i hope that he has found his peace and that anyone else feeling like he did gets help. 43 is far too young to go

R.I.P.

I'm pretty sure you still die instantly, which is usually the point of suicide.

I guess. Maybe you do it to save people the horror of a head shot. Just seems strange. I know it happens though.

He shot himself in the chest because he wants his brain to be studied.

I never said that was why he did it. I mean we'll never know; I learned that due to what happened with Mike Flanagan last year.

Wow. Chargers fans are devastated over this.
If Ray Lewis did this to himself, is this the same way we would react? What I'm trying to ask is was he that important to them? I know he was but I'm just trying to get a better understanding because I have no memories of him playing in San Diego, only in NE & MIA.

Did you see the guy on the first page with JJ in his jeresy with the dog lol.

All joking aside I think any fanbase that loses an icon/hero will react that way. I think if it was something this bad with Ray, the reaction would prbably be ten times this size. No disrespect to JR. but Ray is recognizes by most of the younger players as well; instead since Jr played a large amount of his career in the 90s, hardly any of the younger generations really know who he is. Hell in all honesty I never really saw him play. I know who he was, but I just never really watched him play being I was born in the 90s.

At first I thought of Steve McNair and that Chicago Bears guy recently. Then Orlando Brown. Apparently suicide. So sad. God Bless him and everyone else. Rest in Peace.

Boston Researchers at Boston University's Center for Traumatic Encephalopathy have studied brains of dead football players for a while and now want Seau's brain.

R.I.P Junior Seau. Though I'm not old enough to remember his Charger days, I remember his NE days, and have heard nothing but great things about the man since I've been a football fan.

I pray for his loved ones.
