Cam Cameron has done a GREAT job so far. Our defense hasnt been on the field for most of the second quarter. Offense is looking good.

Amen brother. We're almost unpredictable today.

Do you blame them? Why give Reed a chance to slam the door shut?

As excited as we are about Cam Cameron opening up the playbook even more this week, you have to keep in mind what we learned last week about gimmicky offenses.

We can't just rely on option plays -- look at what happened when Miami leaned on the Wildcat offense last week.

At the end of the day, solid fundamental football is all any team needs to have success on both sides of the ball.

Why do you think New England and Indianapolis have been successful for the past decade? Or the old Cowboys and 49ers of '90s?

It wasn't because they were flashy -- they just played good ol' fashioned football, extremely well. They were able to execute the simplest plays to perfection. That's what this team needs to do to have success for years to come.

That's what i see in the near future...with a future in Flacco and a strong running game, what can go wrong?

Exactly, generally speaking you want to have, at the max, 3-6 trick plays in the entire game, depending on the game situation. You use them to keep the D off balance and give the offense the chance to break some big plays on them.

But it does open things up, we've got Oakland on their heels they dont know what to expect.

But Indy and the Pats had something that helps a whole lot, an excellent QB. Wildcat is still mostly a running O which doesn't work that well against us.

Yep it does, you can't just rely on the trick plays either; when you start relying on it too much then you get what happened to Miami last week where everyone expects the trick. The point of the trick play is to surprise the D.

Imagine when we get Mason, Rolle, Landry, and CMac back we will have so much depth. Then a more healthy Reed and McGahee.

Maybe after this week we'll have the number 1 total and passing defence again. I hope the Giants totally shred the Squealers D.

They show highlights for every game except for ours.[/quote]

I know, that just pissed me off. I was hoping being here in CA they would show the game because the Raiders were the other team, but no such luck so I'm watching the Bus play the 'Boys and the Saints whoop on the Chargers.
