Randy Moss May Be Cut?

9 posts in this topic

according to NFL.com

Veteran WR Randy Moss is only one of many Recievers looking for a spot on the 49er depth chart, Moss spot isnt exactly gaurenteed and if all other prospects pan out through camp, there is a good possible chance that Moss may be on the chopping block since he has no special teams value unlike his counter parts.

As much as that may sound possible. If moss is in great shape and focused. There ain't a WR on that team that can hang with him

Agreed. This looks like wishful thinking to me. Reports are that he really impressed at his various private workouts. I doubt he gets the axe. It's Randy Moss for crying out loud...

It you put this out just to inform us he was being cut, ok, but I don't think it happens. He can help some of the younger players and still stretch the field. If you are hinting at we should take a look at him, no. We need to learn to start developing our own players. Maybe if we put them in the field we see how good they are. If not then we see how bad they are and start realizing that maybe we should put more consideration into who we surround Joe Flacco with. I'm sick of picking up wrs in the draft who never see the damn the light of day then we wonder why there was no progress. Trial by fire.

It makes sense somewhat. Obviously Michael Crabtree and Mario Manningham will have prominent roles. A.J. Jenkins will have a big role, if only because he was a first round draft pick, and Moss has to find a place among all of that. I could see him as their 3rd or fourth WR, if he stays on the team.

I just saw today that he said he loves the way the pace is going over there. He practiced and he looked really quick.

Whoever thinks Moss is going to make an impact on any team is kidding themselves. Just because he likes the game doesn't mean he can play it. Moss will go the way of other old receivers after they've been traded - Holmes, Mason, Branch, Ochocinco, and Moss.
