Rookie Jersey Numbers

Of course it's this time... Haha this is what I think it'll be.

Upshaw - #91 (close to #41 as far as look)
Osemele - #72 (same # in college - currently open with Ravens)
Pierce - #30 (same # in college - currently open with Ravens)
Gradkowski - #66 (close to #56 which we will use on a LB)
Thompson - #33 (same # in college - currently open with Ravens)
Jackson - #25 (not even close to college #, but on 20s # open)
Streeter - #11 (can't wear #8, #18, or #88 but I think he will be in teens - like #11)
Tyson - #93 (as close to his college #, #94, as he is going to get)

What ya think?

Upshaw said in a WNST interview that he'd be going with 91.
And I thought Streeter would go with a number in the teens too, maybe 17.

KO said he'd take #72 on his twitter, also.

Gradkowski said he didn't know.

Jackson said 25.

Thomspon is 33, also

So that's 5/8 confirmed with Upshaw, KO, Streeter, Thompson, and Jackson

Swear I don't.. I mean.. Technically I do now because I played on the state championship team with Alfred McCullough who just signed a free agent contract with the team but all these just made sense. I got lucky with Streeter and Jackson's though.

What can you tell me about Alfred? I'd like to hear more about him. I'm interested in him as a LT prospect for us. I hope this doesn't deviate too much from the topic. If you want, just post it in the UDFA thread. Thanks!

Honestly, while I can be bias sometimes.. I do really try to stick to what I know instead of what I want. Alfred really can be an amazing offensive lineman. He has a lot of versatility and played every position along the offensive line for Alabama. He started games at RT for the injured future first round pick DJ Fluker when he went down with an injury, he started games at LT when Barrett Jones (another future first round pick) was injured and he finally took over the starting position at RG midway through Alabama's national championship season and didn't look back. He is still raw (he switched from defensive line to offensive line during his career at Alabama) but he is developing nicely. He doesn't have ideal size (6-2 311) but his arms are extremely long more so like a 6-4 or 6-5 guy. His chance of making the team is a long shot but with our current need at LG he definitely can. Alfred's versatility would usually make him very coveted but the fact that so many of the Raven's offensive lineman are also versatile it isn't needed AS much. Alfred is extremely athletic for his size and could very well be a LT for the Ravens. The knock on him will always be his height which makes him more suited for guard. The thing that is in Alfred's favor the most is the fact that he played at Alabama so he has been pretty much playing in an NFL system his whole career. If he can continue to get bigger (maybe like Marcel Dareus going from 305 to 350 before his rookie season) then Alfred could actually be a solid guard in the NFL. I'd say with his height.. Alfred needs to get to the 330-335 range. One thing is for sure, I am pulling hard for him and I was SO excited when I found out he had went to the Ravens. Please, everyone, pull for him! He is a great guy and every time I saw him at an Alabama game he was pushing his mother (in a wheel chair) around and hugging on her. He has never been in any kind of trouble and shows the true qualities that everyone wants and expects from their Ravens.

I always forget about Doss because I barely saw him during the season, but you're right in that he does have the #17. My apologies to Doss.

Apparently but I won't take too much credit for it. All the numbers made logical sense. Only ones I really got lucky on we're Streeter and Jackson.

I heard that Upshaw was taking 56? And that isn't from a great source a freind who goes to school with him. He is not on the football team but is an eqiupment manager so i guess he has talked to him and jokingly Upshaw said he wanted 56 in the NFL. like LT.

LBs and DEs can only wear numbers between 50-50 and 90-99 respectively.
