I don't want Jones here unless he is playing for the other team again.

Lol. I'm glad he wasn't playing on another team if he played like he did here. The change of scenery, I think, did him well. I think a lot of his success came from relocating. The way players are used plays a big role in how they perform.

He's had 9 fumbles in his 5 year career. Last season he was targeted 65 times and had one dropped pass so not sure about the dropped passes reputation. Don't know enough about him really other than his fumble led to our winning TD last season. Let's hope that isn't a habit lol

Very non-committal of me huh? lol

Then, apparently I did some research and said this:

I would have liked to see our young guys battle it out for that #3 position as well however, I don't think we're paying this kind of money to anyone simply to be our return guy. I believe the #3 position is his to lose. That doesn't mean that Doss/Williams will not see some snaps though. I hope we get them some PT this season.

I've watched the highlights, read the complaints, checked the stats. Much like I did when we brought in Pollard and many Texans' fans were saying how bad he was in coverage. I see exactly what I saw with Pollard in Jones. A player with a lot of potential that somehow fell short in the Texans' system. Pollard's coverage skills have improved dramatically since he's been with the Ravens or they weren't as bad as the Texans' fans believed in the first place.

I really did not want us to bring in another FA WR, they simply have not worked out for us in the past. However, Jones can do double duty as a return guy. We definitely need a return guy. I was not ready to give up on Reed but with this signing I see his days as a Raven being numbered. I see the progress Torrey made last season in his routes (one of the complaints with Jones) and his drops (another complaint against Jones) and I think that perhaps our WR coach can help Jones be more successful here than he was in Texas as a reliable WR. In any event, while he muffed that kick versus us, I can't find any statistics to show that is a trend so I think he'll bring an explosiveness to our ST which we've been lacking.

Hmmm....I didn't do half bad with this lololol

the texans (particularly their fans) wanted him the hell out of houston, he was practically run out of town. with a bit of luck he fits better into this offense and can contribute.hopefully having a veteran out there should help the younger guys/prospects that don't really have a place yet (tandon doss, laquan williams, tommy streeter) develop. a big play option to compliment boldin and smith wouldn't hurt either. that was the idea they had in mind for lee evans, which almost worked.time will tell =]

I'll eat my words, dude can ball. But Every single time, I MEAN EVERY SINGLE TIME he is back there to receive a punt, im cringing the whole time.
[/quote]This made me spit my yogurt out of my mouth now that I'm reading it in retrospect hahaha

Reading all the hate Jacoby got prior to this season is ridiculous and I'm sure you can agree ;)
