Have you seen him play? He doesn't play like a guy that runs in the 4.5s at all.

It's pretty hard to argue with that pic. He can play where ever he wants. Put him at D tackle and let him pancake Ben.

This dude is NASTY , Violent, just the type of player we need on the Oline. He's going to be more power like Yanda as opposed to finesse like Grubbs.
Yanda has a nasty streak and this guy has an EVIL streak!

Maybe now we'll be able to run up the gut more! Even with Birk getting older, Yanda and KO together... oh my god, I fear for opposing defenses

How could we pass up Randle
There are a plethora of quality receiving options left heading in to the 4th. There's no Guards left that have the quality of Osemele.

His tackle tape isn't all that great because he's got slow, plodding feet. That's not really a problem when you stick him inside.

I like the pick, I believe that if we get back to the 2 headed monster with Rice and Pierce and Upshaw plays this season along with Osemele, this may be the first time since 2008 where we have had our first several picks come in right away and make an impact.

Personally, I think this was a great pick. I wasn't a fan of taking a guard early to be honest. I have to retract my comments because this guy does do a lot for our team and I am happy with the pick because we got Courtney Upshaw before him. I was most surprised by us drafting Pierce, but it makes a lot of sense.

Anyway, I see him being our LG from day one. Osemele, Birk, and Yanda sounds like a very good trio. I personally think Reid will be our LT in the future, and Oher will be our RT if he proves he can handle it this year. I think Oher has an outstanding year this year. That's my bold prediction, lol.

Also, it doesn't make sense to take Randle. I wasn't high on him but wouldn't have been upset if we took him. Now, I have to say I am fine with us passing on him. We normally take prospects late anyway when a draft is deep with that position. I expect CB and WR to go early tomorrow.

How does he compare to Glenn?
Probably the closest guard to him in terms of Size

I wanted Size at LG.

For where the Ravens picked I'm happy who they walked away with filling needs all over. Sure I would have liked other players as well like most people because fans are greedy for their team. Quality guys though

Does anyone think with the selection of Osemele and Pierce that we could go back to the 2008 Formula of running the ball majority of the time and playing keep away while playing good solid defense. I honestly believe that we could very well be going back to that and the only reason we haven't took a receiver yet.

We haven't taken a receiver because this draft is deep with them and we've only had 3 picks. We won't be running as much as we did with Joe as a rookie but it seems we're trying to get that part of our offense back on track. What's this obsession with WR anyway?

I'm watching the video of Ozzie and Harbs talking to KO(and Harbs coined that I believe because in the video he says KO as soon as he is given the phone) and it makes me excited even more. What I love more about it is Harbs is talking to him like he is on a phone with a friend.

Harbs handed the phone off to CAM of all people????? What the hell is Cam is going to tell KO, how much his run blocking ability won't be used as Cam will just give Rice the ball 8 times a game while Pierce somehow gets half a snap a game.

The pieces are there, but I don't think we will go back to that formula since this is a pass happy league. We did that in 2008 because Joe was a rookie and they wanted to max protect him and stuff. Now, he is a veteran QB and the Ravens are looking to pass more. However, when needed the Ravens will be able to run the ball effectively.

In general I like guards who played tackle in college and have the potential to play both positions in the pros, Reid is just too tall for guard.

I think Reid will play LT or we can keep running unbalanced lines like we did in 2008, lol.

He's great at RT and may be as well as LT....

I believe Reid will be our LT future....

BTW, I love this pick; KO is great at guard....

Osemele just looks bulkier but he's only about an inch/1.5 inches shorter than Jah. I want a brute

It's ok to be different you know. I even think Tampa is doing the same thing and even Greg Schaino talked about playing keep away and running the ball, I'll be glad to get back to that. That is my kind of Football, pound the rock, give Ray Rice the ball 25-30 times a game, throw in some carries for Pierce and play hard nosed defense.

I'm not that against that style of play, but I just don't think the Ravens will run as much as they did in 2008. I think the Ravens are trying to achieve a much more balanced style of offense. Pass the ball when needed and run the ball when needed.

I don't mind running the ball 30+ times but I like Rice around 20 carries. Don't burn him out before the playoffs and his receptions are basically runs as well as most are just short drop passes.
