Blount And Foster

4 posts in this topic

Hey guys. So we all know, that LeGarette Blount and Arian Foster both are very very good players. They both have way different ways of running the ball. But they have one thing in common; both are undrafted. So I was thinking, which draft pick would you place them on?
I'd say both probably in the 1st round, Foster within the first 10 and Blount within the 10th-20th draft pick.

Your thoughts?

I'd actually put Blount ahead of Foster and give both late 1st round grades. Foster gives you another receiving threat but needs a strong oline, Blount can run behind any line and forces more missed tackles than anyone but he's not a good receiver.

Foster has it all imo. He's not Ray Rice elusive, or a mauler of an RB, but he's the excellent combo back who can do it all. I'd put him in the top 10. Blount, on the other hand, to me at least, has mental lapses in his game and still has work ethic flaws that need to be sorted out. He still doesn't know how to be even an average blocker, nor does he catch the ball, so he's not an every down back at all. He is a strong back, sure. But I'd say he'd probably be a late 1st/early to mid 2nd RB with how teams usually draft Rb's outside of this draft.

Foster would be worth a top 15 pick, no question.

I wouldn't take Blount in the first round personally. I wouldn't class him as a very, very good player. Certainly not Foster caliber.
