So, like 2010? How'd that turn out?
Pretty good, actually. We got our future nose tackle in Cody who replaced Kelly Gregg and two young tight end in Pitta and Dickson to replace Todd Heap. So, we got three players who have made contribution to our team. Sure, Kindle got injured accidentally, but it look like he is finally healthy and ready to prove himself this year, so I am excited to see how he does.

It was a good trade back getting an additional pick and still getting who we would have got at the 29th pick. Smart move by Ozzie and I hope we don't use it on Krontz. OLB, WR.......

A starting D-tackle, 2 starting tight ends, a returner who does good things when he doesn't fumble, A developmental tackle, and a sleeper D-tackle prospect that looks like he's about to break out in 2012. How did that turn out?

As much as it annoyed the hell out of me that I didn't get to see the Ravens draft someone tonight after waiting for 3 hours to see it happen, I just have to keep telling myself, In Ozzie We Trust.

Either way, you know the Ravens moved out of the first round because it's the right move. And we know it's the right move because Ozzie made it.

Who knows, maybe there will be enough of the people we want still available at 35 that Ozzie might try and trade for an additional pick in the range. Give up the late 2nd round and early 4th round pick and end up getting some damn good value for our first two picks.
That's what I was thinking, packaged the late second with the fourh and move up to the two value players cause many are still left. Probably could get. 5th back in return. With the new system it seems a lot easier to maneuver through the draft. Fans are just letting off steam cause we stayed glued to the tv to see NOTHING. Even worse, the players we want get snatched by big rivals, or people who have swooped in and taken players we were eying. Tomorrow night if all goes well, we won't even remember the anger we feel now.

Did anyone else see Upshaw pacing around back there? Looking angry as all hell. Bet that dude is straight pissed and goes HAM on the first RT he sees.
So to whomever plays RT for the Bengals... beware come Monday Night Football in Week 1, we'll have a pissed Pass Rushing LB named Courtney Upshaw who will look to prove everyone wrong for passing on him.

Great move by Ozzie once again.

We'll get one of Glenn or Upshaw, plus another pick in the top 100.

Tough to see Hightower snatched like that after he made it by Pittsburgh, but given the way the next 4 picks went... none of them were Ravens. Basically a free 4th.

I think its because the patriots took Hightower. Anyone think this is why or was this the plan the whole time.
if hightower was there we would of stayed with that pick.

We traded back, because there were so much talent left for us to choose from, without very little dropoff from late 1st round pick.

Just to give you few to talent names: Cordy Glenn(OG),Jonathan Martin(LT) Courtney Upshaw(DE), Coby Freener(TE), Reuben Randle(WR), Alshon Jefferies(WR), Stephen Hill(WR).

Ozzie, Decosta and the FO did a amazing job not panicking and gained themselves a extra (early) 4th rounder. Good job imo.

Landing Glenn with the 35th pick would be brilliant. Than move up from the other 2nd round pick and either land a quality WR or Upshaw. Anyone but Konz

Were going to grab Courtney Upshaw at 35 and then trade back up into the early second and grab Stephen Hill..
Hope not

I don't think Ravens are looking at a 3rd TE

Dickson is terrible. Coby Freener would make Rob Gronk look stupid

Dickson is the starting TE. Would be such a let down to settle for another TE when Ravens could upgrade a position of need with a higher ranked player as well

Glenn would be perfect and then look at a WR or another rusher

Jason LaCanfora just said on twitter that were targeting upshaw so expect us to get him then go after hill
I doubt that part

Not even the best WR left and would be a huge let down

Here is the better question Why couldnt we get more. Hell I woulda been happy with the Vikings 2nd, 4th and a swap of picks
well Denver one pick behind us didn't even get extra picks

yep, agree... if we're moving up in the second (after taking Upshaw at 35), giving our late 2nd ant the 4th from Vikings - well Hill won't cut it, Reuben Randle on the other hand...

I knew this move was going to happen.

My guess is that we will take our 35th pick and trade up our second 2nd round pick (60th pick) and add a pick for a team that desperately needs more picks and is willing to trade down for more picks, like said Patriots.

Sounds like good business to me.
I agree Hightower getting picked likely was the catalyst to our trade.
And really we only moved back a few slots. I am fine with last nights decisions.

Makes sense but I don't know if the Ravens would have leaked that. I really think there are 3 guys they could/would have taken at 29, and that's why they made the move.

Last night was a great night. I informed everyone months ago, this would happen. Dont be surprised if the Ravens trade the 35th pick to get more picks.

Obviously we all wanted to see a pick made, but what's waiting one more day? I was hoping we'd either trade up or trade down, it was a smart move by Ozzie, no surprise. Upshaw, Glenn, Konz, and a good WR prospect will all be there at 35 because its a very strong possibility the Colts go with Fleener and the Rams grab a receiver since they missed out on Blackmon. I'd love Upshaw at 35 personally and then look to bolster the interior o-line or receiving corps with our late 2nd rounder.

I hope not. We need Upshaw.

35th: Cordy Glenn - I don't know why he's dropping, but the man is a beast.

Come on we don't want all our divisional opponents taking all the guards (DeCastro, Zeitler)

However, there has to be a reason why he's dropping.

Maybe he's not a good fit for our zone block scheme.

If we pass on him, I can tell the Browns are going to complete the trifecta of the first three guards going to the AFC North.
