How The Rookie Cap Actually Works

There's a lot of misunderstanding about how the rookie cap works. In the next couple of weeks, we'll likely hear that the Ravens have a rookie cap of somewhere in the $4.5M range. But, that doesn't mean that they will need that much Cap space in order to fit there draft picks under the overall Salary Cap.
