Rb Question...

6 posts in this topic

okay so i have leron mcclain, duece McAllister's, and mewelde moore... i don't know who to start...NFL fanatasty has the projections like this:
Moore: 16pts against the gmen
Mcclain: 9pts
Deuce: 5pts

im really debating between mcclain or deuce.... raiders have bad run d but looks from last week mcgahee got most of the goal line touches and rice got more carries... but since oaklands d is worse against the run will they save mcgahee and give some of the goal line workload to mcclain?
On the other hand, saints are starting duece and SD rush defense is like ranked in the 15 area.. .Breese didn't do so well last week and maybe they'll give deuce the ball near goal line situations?
Who do you guys think i should start this week.

i'd start deuce over mcclain. Mcclain's fantasy value has plumetted lately, and deuce is going to be getting most of the carries in the saint's offence whereas Mcclain is splitting time with 2 different backs. I predict deuce to get 15-20 carries for 70 yds and a td

Yea now that most the fantasy world has added McClain to their rosters. His stock drops as usual. McGahee's going to have a big game on Sunday. Which will probably decrease McClains value even more. I'd go with Duece this week. He should get a fairly healthy load of carries. And he wants to prove he's still a vaulable asset.
with the new steroid-esque allegations, i'm not sure if deuce will even be playing this week
Bingo, picking Piere Thomas looks even better now with this new bit of information. I don't know if Deuce will start or if he gets suspended, but Thomas should get some touches this week and if this ends up being a suspension for Deuce then he'll be even bigger for the Saints!

Go with McAlister

-Reggies injured
-Going to be in London so you know both teams are gonna step their game up and once duece gets going he's hard to stop
-Brees and the Saints offense move the ball very easily which means Duece will probably see more redzone opportunities than your other 2 backs
-He's going to eventually be suspended but I think he'll be playing this week and I'm sure his agent will try to appeal the suspension

But if he doesn't play go with mewelde

-He's the steelers only reliable back and willie parker isn't playing this sunday
-He's gonna get his touches probably a lot more than McClain
-When the Giants pressure Big Ben he's gonna being looking for his check down more often than usual (mewelde)
-If steelers get a lead on the giants like the browns did then you know the ground and pound is coming for the rest of the game which = more carries.
-plus he's coming off a 100+ yards rushing game from last week so his confidence will be pretty good going into this game and...he might give a little extra effort to show the coaches willie Parker(will be starting in the game after the giants) isn't the only back that can get it done.
