How Can We Become Better Fans---> Suggestions

45 posts in this topic

I hope everyone reading this will put their 2 cents in and come up with an idea to make our game day stadium the most insane in sports. Here's my input.

1. When we're on defense and the opposing quaterback throws the ball....

Everyone YELL.....BALL...BALL...BALL...

I'm thinking this will help our DB's out a lot who have their backs turned...

P.S.
I love what we started last year with the O...O...O....O...Ooooo....Ooooo (repeat louder)

P.S. Again

Everyone with seats behind the goal post (and surrounding sections) bring yellow posters and hold them up to mess with the opposing field goal kicker's vision....(lol seriously) (We can also chant Miss It...Miss It....or Miss that kick... Miss that kick.....)

Let's get better as fans....I know we're amongst the best...Let's just get better .........

Screaming for balls is a personal preference. I think I'll just stick to rabid screaming when the opposing offense is on the field.

I think we're pretty good fans overall. Certainly better than the fans of some of the other teams I've seen. Just keep doing what we're doing and supporting the team.

When a QB drops back to pass, typically, people on the sidelines yell "Pass!" and when the opposing team fumbles they yell "Ball!". So there's a chance we could confuse them, but I like what you're thinking.

I haven't been to a game in awhile, so I haven't had the chance to experience the new atmosphere with Seven Nation Army and the "remade" fight song. However, I think if fans just never quit during games that would be a boost the Ravens' morale and it'll be consistently loud for the opposing team. Save your voices during commercial breaks and halftime. Also, when we're on offense... I didn't think about that until I read Alexir's comment.

The "remade" fight song is awful. Actually, I think its just the band. But every time they take the field I just want to facepalm.

I've only heard the recording and I didn't think it was bad. My dad likes it because of the Colts' throwback. Maybe it sounds different live. What is it that makes it awful?

Stop whining about Joe.

This.
And starting the noise before the opposing offense is in the huddle.
Max noise in the huddle till after the snap.

wanna be a better fan, stop calling your QB out for every single mistake he makes. We could have Kyle Boller, Anthony Wright, Chris Redman, or Elvis Grbac again

Again, probably just the band. They don't really ever sound good.

Wait... soooo to become better fans we should not call out our QB for mistakes because we owe him for not being a bad QB?

I think what he means is, take New England this year and KC last year. Both playoff games on the road, Flacco throws 3 TDs and 1 pick in KC, 2 TDs and 1 pick in New England that should have been 3 TDs (the stripped Evans game-winner). Instead of talking about how Flacco helped lead us to victory in one and almost led us to the Superbowl in the other, what do we get "Oh he threw 3 INTs against bad defenses" (which is actually a lie since KC finished this year 6th in passing YPG and 7th in QBR and last year 16th in passing yards per game and 6th in opposing QBR), while New England was like 15th this year in opposing QBR and Houston was 2nd behind us). There's a difference between calling a guy out for his mistakes i.e. the way Flacco sucked it up in Jacksonville and San Diego this year, vs. saying "Unless Flacco has a perfect quarterback rating he sucks".

My bad, I somehow missed that when you said it the first time. I guess I only took in the first and last part.

During kickoffs, punts, field goal attempts and extra points, everyone should be quiet until the opposing kicker starts his motion. Then outta nowhere, everyone in the stadium shouts simultaneously right before he kicks the ball.

I was very disappointed in our volume in the Divisional Round vs the Texans... I don't know if the playoffs brings a different set of fans then normal, but it was sort of quiet to me....

BE LOUD WHILE ON DEFENSE . : )
id say the way the game was going on offense wouldnt have helped, but you think with the TOs etc on Defense the crowd would have been involved
Thankyou!
We almost had Boller back.......................... As a camp arm lol
Sometimes the Seven Nation Army seems like a good luck charm, the team was stagnant and they got that going and they played better.

Personally they only time I shut up during the game is when the team is when the team is in the huddle and before the ball is snapped .

I sit in the endzone we really don't need to encourage people to do more stupid stuff, they do it anyway trying to get on TV.

I respect the band and the tradition of the fight song. I think many of us older fans like the new fight song. I like the Seven Nation Army chant. We really do have great fans here and this website is the best in the NFL!
