Bold Predictions

179 posts in this topic

In honor of the Nfl Network's Bold predictions they do on gameday, I thought it'd be fun to make bold offseason predictions. It can be about the draft, FA, season, the future, etc, whatever you want really.

For example, I predict that McClain has a really big breakout season, and asserts himself as Ray's true heir with 100+ tackles, his first Probowl, and at least 3 sacks and 2 Int.

Right..too early to make bold predictions for fun...my bad.

Did you miss the point where I said it could be about the draft and FA too? Srsly, people like you take the fun out of this forum.

Who do you think you are, Ryan Mink?

I'll bite: Sergio Kindle gets at least one pre-season sack and earns some decent playing time on D, during the regular season.

Yes, his resume' so far is only a little better than Jack and Jill or Humpty Dumpty. Jokes aside, I think he's really tried to work hard since his DUI during his rookie year and I'm really hopeful for him.

I hope you're right. He was so promising coming out of college. I thought he'd be our next Suggs combining speed and power with versatility.
well theres a whole draft section and in there you will find.... a bold predicitons thread.....

And RE FA, you cant make too many bold predicitions when we have just enough room to sign our draft picks. about all we can do is sign one, maybe two guys to vet mins.

So that just leaves season predicitions, and we havent even finished voluntary OTAs yet...

So yea, to early

Sergio turns out to be a stud on D, and Suggs, Kruger, and Kindle will be the best OLB tandem in the NFL
McClian does break out, and goes to a pro bowl, but
We draft Hightower rd 1 and he and Mcclian both contribute to anchor a great D for years but also
We get a second first rounder and get Jonathan Martin to go with it
We sign Jason Brown at center, but still take Brewster in the 5th
We draft Tommy Streeter, who has an A.J Green like year.
We sign Eric Steinbach, who plays his last pro bowl with us, and is the stopgate for Lucas Nix.
Ladarius Green gets drafted by us and is a Stud
Curtis Painter stays on the team

So go there and stop ruining people trying to have a little fun. Or lighten up a little and join in. But stop criticizing me for talking on a talk forum. Sheeesh.

even with the tough schedule we go 13-3 and go on and win the super bowl
now thats what im talking about lol.

i say we go 12-4. i dont like that whole bunch of road games in the middle of our schedule.
i think suggs will have a 12+ sack season, kruger will have 8, mcphee will have 8, and ngata has 10.
ladarius webb finally gets recognition and goes to the pro bowl.
jimmy smith gets going, stays healthy, and has 5 picks!
thats all for right now. man i cant wait for the season to start...

Bold predictions

I say we win five division games but we get shocked in Cleveland. Sorry, just something I feel

Brandon Ayanbadejo gets a INT this season. He has not had one in three years, now that's bold

Justin Boren makes the roster and will get some junk time snaps and by the end of the season we will all be very pleased with him.

Webb makes the pro-bowl, that's not bold

Pitta gets five TD's over the regular season and post season and cements his place as a fan favourite

Flacco gets annoyed and swears during a press conference at some stupid question , yes I posted that and it's bold lol

Danelle Ellerbe for some reason incurs the wrath of Harbaugh and so into the doghouse once more and will be a healthy scratch for at least three consecutive games

Not really a bold prediction but, Ray Rice will have the rushing title.

Paul Kruger 9.5 sacks.

McPhee gets a solid 7 sacks.

Cundiff only misses one field goal.

Ed Reed wins DPOY, gets 12 INTs, 3 FF.

Tandon Doss gets over 600 yards REC, & 5 TDs.

Pitta makes the pro bowl.

Ravens sweep the steelers, AGAIN.

Pitta has 9+ TDs
Mcphee has 8 sacks and earns his first pro bowl
David Reed earns the #3 WR spot
Haloti FINALLY gets a TD catch in goal line situations
Joe completes 68% of his passes this year.
We lead the league in plays 20+ yards.
Cam Cameron is considered a genius when we win the AFCG game against Denver

Joe Flacco finally gets the respect he deserves and Skip Bayless even calls him elite this year. Sorry, I can't get much bolder than that.

I'll one up you. Kindle takes over Krugers role from last year and surpasses Pauls previous numbers. Smith and Webb establish themselves as a top 3 cb tandem. I will also say Joe finally breaks the 30 td mark while keeping his ints to 10 max.

I predict there will be mutiny in Baltimore if Curtis Painter ever plays a down here.He is one of the worst QBs I've ever seen. That guy truly sucks.

Joe Flacco throws for 4000+ yards and 30+ TDs and makes it deep into the playoffs/wins the SB.

Yet the talking heads make excuses as to why he still 'needs to improve'...

Seriously though here are my picks:

Ray Rice missessome games due to no progress on the contract; but Allen and Berry are solid as a committee in the timeframe Rice is away,

Torrey Smith continues his form and avoids a Sophomore slump.

Joe Flacco throws for 25+ Touchdowns.

We draft a WR in the 2nd, and is solid during the season.

Jimmy Smith breaks out due to people trying to avoid Webby.

Kruger breaks out truly with 10+ sacks.

Boldin suffers further; but Pitta and Dickson turn into Hernandez/Gronk Lite.

We finally shut the Bolts down good in San Diego, and make Phil cry and develops an equivalent to the Manning-face.
+ the practice squad
don't forget you can only suit 45 on game day.
all these odds, need to be careful and cover all lose ends these days lol

I think it increases to 46 now so you can have the 3rd string QB as 'active'. He can now go into the game at any time without having to 'bench' the 1st and 2nd stringers for the rest of the game.

Not sure if these are bold or not - perhaps wishful thinking.

Kruger has a big time year. Torrey Smith steps up and becomes a major NFL threat. Suggs repeats as DPOY. Joe Flacco is given the green light to run the offense. We end up with Harrison Smith, a 6'4"+ WR, an extra solid pass rusher, and much needed OL strength. RR gets a well deserved deal. Ray Lewis and Ed Reed retire as SB Champions.
