Ravens Are Hosting Boller For A Workout

116 posts in this topic

Camp arms are nothing to get excited about. At least if Boller perchance does make the final roster, I won't have to read any ''bench Flacco'' threads.

I wouldn't say people are "upset" as much as they are confused/surprised... which is totally appropriate.

This right here. Its Kyle Boller, dude. Were you around when he sucked? Its purely psychological that I dont want him in a Ravens uni.

Favorite Boller Highlight.
That is so embarassing.

Pure facepalm moment.

I think it's absolutely hilarious that we are considering bringing back Kyle Boller and that supposed Raven fans are supporting the possibility. What a complete farce. Are you kidding me? Dixon? Painter? Is it possible one of these three players could be at the helm if Flacco gets hurt. Jeez Louise.
So because some fans aren't appalled at the idea of bringing back Boller as a camp arm they aren't real fans. Gimme a break.

last year Bulger promised to come back to play if Joe got injured and we needed him, so we had three QBs available even if not all of them on the roster; now after a year on the sidelines, retired, Bulger doesn't present any more interest for us, so we need a third arm... just in case we got too many WRs at camp or something like that
But Kyle Boller?

Kyle Boller wasn't terrible, he surely wasn't good, but he'd be a decent backup to give us a respectable season if Flacco went down.

all this crazy talk - that guy was the worst!
he lost LOTS of opportunities for us.
totally inept as a QB.
my high opinion of our talent judging will be lost if they go with this one!
Leinart would actually be heaps better. A legit backup.

But he might've been too expensive.

We need to conserve joes arm come training camp but Boller couldnt even get the ball to WR's during a game so how will he during practice? I told my brother get your Boller jersey out we still have use for them, only he already flushed the toilet.......

Why?
Boller is never gonna change. He has poor decision making ability, which in turn results in holding the ball too long and very questionable accuracy....Been there done that, no thanks.
I'd rather draft Brandon Weeden in the late 3rd early 4th as a backup (but Weeden will likely go in the 2nd to either Cleveland or Miami). He has a good arm, is mature, better decision making, better completion percentage, etc....

Didn't he practically overthrow the Perfect Patriots? He's had highlights, and lowlights. I'd never want him as a starter, but we have a strong enough team to finish with a respectable season, definitely not playoffs if he came in early, but i'd be fine with that until Flacco would come back

hey hey, Boller is throwing bombs out there, hitting every bushes and trees he does not see.

*Torrey runs 9 route, and when Boller sees him, he immediately and calmly throws the ball spiral beautifully toward Torrey's route; As Torrey turns back for the ball, he sees nothing but cloudy sky and is frightened by the screaming from someone in the parking lot cursing "who threw the football and broke his windshield' *

Boller has strong arms..../giggle

Yeah, I really don't want Boller. He wasted years for some of the greatest Ravens of all time. I know as a team you're not meant to blame one guy, but I'm making an exception for Boller. I would take ANYONE over him as a camp arm, even "Drunken" Derek Anderson.

Just had to share....

Carry on with the Flacco bashing!
lol lol lol, I bet those same Flacco bashers will be praying for Flacco to start every game and not get hurt from here on out if Boller becomes the backup.

Thank you and my thoughts exactly. Boller was on fire against the Pats. The whole team was really. All the glass is half empty people here forget Boller had SOME great games.
All that said, he is a back up QB, and probably not here.

Boller was <deleted> horrible. I dont see how anyone who actually watched him play every week could even attempt to argue otherwise. He had a few good games in three years...

Can Boller play an o-line position? Because that's the only reason I could think of why the FO would want him back.

On a serious note, he was here for one year in the system, so I suppose he'd know it better than any other veteran backup besides maybe the retired Mark Bulger or Troy Smith who already has a team. And it would be somewhat funny I suppose if Flacco has an off-game to see who's foolish enough to start the "put Kyle Boller in" thread.

I think the worst thing is that he wasted four of Ray and JO's prime years.
Don't forget Ed, Jamal, Todd, Sizzle, and CMac either. At one point, we had EVERYTHING except a competent quarterback.

I hear you. The only thing I can agree on, is that we have a strong enough team to finish with a respectable record regardless of how trash the qb is taking the snaps. However: Kyle Boller=No. I was a staunch supporter of Kyle early on because I wanted him to be successful and I was tired of getting quarterbacks off the clearance rack, but Kyle is garbage. He tripped over his own feet, tackled himself and couldn't throw a reliable pass beyond 15 yds. I don't want him anywhere near our team. Ever. For any reason. I have a kyle boller complex now after all the misery I experienced as a fan when he was our "quarterback". I don't want him parking next to flacco's car.
