Steelers 80th Anniversary Throwbacks

I normally wouldn't post a story like this but, to commemorate their 80th anniversary as a franchise the Steelers will wear [url="http://espn.go.com/blog/afcnorth/post/_/id/46124/thumbs-down-to-steelers-throwback-jerseys"]special throwback unis[/url] - from their 1934 season when they were the "Pirates" and went 2-10. They're expected to wear them twice during the season.

Holy Ugly Batman! Well gee that's going to do much to dispell the conspiracy theorists who think the refs favor Pittsburgh, all they did was take a refs uniform change the stripes around and painted the shirt yellow lol.

Not that I would want to see them every week but I like them - they look like pimped out Referee jerseys with the numbers. They remind me of the Broncos retros, which oddly I also like.

Well....at least the Steelers are OLD enough to have throwbacks. Ugly as they are.

At least they won't be wearing the hideous gold helmets along with the prison monstrosities.
