Fabain Washington And Cam Cameron

9 posts in this topic

With Fabain recently playing for Rob Ryan and Cam coaching against that Raiders D twice a year for about 4 years, how well do u think these to men know the Rob Ryan defense. I would expect Fabain to really know schemes and maybe even some players weaknesses and i think Cam will be on top of the playcalling. Cam has done a great job out coaching some of the DC's we have faced and i fully expect him to have Rob's number this weekend.

Now with that being said the Offense still has to go out and be pyshical and continue to play mistake free ball, but i think the fact the these two men have a history with the Raiders in some way will help.

Yes, It's def. a PLUS for us as Ravens fans ..you make a good point though about mistake free football. Our winning the game or losing the game depends on a few things ..stopping the run. NO INTS & NO FUMBLES ..usually in the first half I can tell which team shows up..

i think it really comes down to what she posted of which team shows up. if the ravens show up were in for a good game but if the superstars show up its going to be a long game

thing is that their is a huge dropoff in talent between what he had in San Diego and what he has in Baltimore, also completely different styles of offense. Cam can't really exploit that defense like he did in San Diego, if only we had a back like LT, or we could always go Hines Wardesque and take out Nnamdi :P

jk, but I think we need at least 3 TD's to win this game, anyway we can get them.

I dont think there is much either can do beyond what they do every week. Fabian even said in press confrence that the most he could probably do is tell our coaches about the weaknesses and strenghts of some of the players that were there when he was there because things there have changed so much from last year to this year. Cam hasnt been against Oakland in almost 2 years, so there probably isnt much extra he can offer us on them either. Things change from season to season. Neither Cam nor Fabian were there or coaching against them since they made their changes to the season.

Id take his offer up though.

Him giving us a slight edge over a few players will significantly help us a lot.

Well Cam may not have faced the Raiders in about a year, but he played them under Rob Ryan for several years with many of the same players as they have now so I would imagine that in the end he has a greater advantage than Rob Ryan would have knowing Cam's systems because he has such different players than in his days with the Chargers.

I'm more interested to know how Fabian Washington does in this game, if he'll make some sort of impact which the defense has been looking for.

The only edge we will have on Sunday is to go out and play mistake free football. F. Washington is not going to have any secret's to give to help us on offense. What is he going to be able to tell Cam where all of the holes are on the defense? No! Does he know all of the defensive signals? Maybe some but we still have to play our game with out a bunch of mistakes. :o
