ESPN Ranks Teams WR's ...Ravens at #9

Had a bunch of great things to say about the Ravens and our young WR's. Ranks them over the Steelers and Browns and just under the Bengals.

They seem to really like Demetrius as well.

" 9. Baltimore Ravens

Although Derrick Mason is on the decline, fellow wideouts Mark Clayton and Demetrius Williams are gaining steam and progressing very well in their young careers. Williams is one of the best young wide receivers who you have probably never heard of. He is a tall, angular guy who can stretch the field. Williams is going to be a good one. Clayton is a very mature player for such a young guy and has ascended rapidly. He isn't particularly big or physical, but he is extremely quick and makes a lot happen after the catch. Although Mason isn't what he once was and rarely scores, he is still a decent starting option who knows the tricks of his trade. It should be noted that this threesome also benefits a great deal from the presence that TE Todd Heap provides in the middle of the field. "

Good, good to hear!! I would love to post that under my account in the Bungles forum. All year long all I heard was how we have about the worst offense in the league and all our WR's suck.. shows how smart them fan's really are. But when you try and point that out to them they just all gang up on you and try and smack you around with smack talk and try and find a reason why there opinion is so right and how yours is completely wrong. I hate that frggin MB

That seems about right.

We do have a good mix of WRs

We're probably behind

Cincinnati

St. Louis

Indy

New England

Denver

Arizona

and Detroit, IMO

we should be #8 in front of Dallas

Mark my words, 2007 is going to be a bust-out year for Demetrius Williams! After this season, every football fan in the league will know who this guy is. I'm thinking 800+ yards receiving is a definite possibility.

If Figurs has hands then the receiving corp may be one of the fastest in the league, in two years the recieving corp could be Clayton, Williams, and Figurs. Very cool thought.

Yeah, we're pretty set for the future.

when we get a good QB (troy smith) we may be unstoppabel on offense in a few years.

Demetrius williams gonna be big in some years, he's tall, he's fast and he can jump.

its not like we dont have the "play makers" on offense, because we do, its just that we have had injuries, in-consistancy and offensive Clock Management. I feel our offense can get it going in the Bengals game, then go from that point on.

How is #9 just under #4?

Just curious.
