No need to thank me. Ozzie must've seen my cut Webb a check thread and reacted accordingly. I said he was more important than Rice and he obviously agreed. Don't rush the thank yous, ill be here all day. The organization can email me later for my address to send me appreciation season tickets and airfare to watch said games.

Really though this is very good. Take care of this now before he has a repeat of last year and are forced to over pay. We should start doing this with more players, paying before they reach a certain peak so the contract given is reasonable though this may sometimes come back to haunt you.

Either way its a 6yr $50M contract lol. Aaron Wilson's tweet is saying a 5yr extension so I assumed that's what it was. So glad he's locked up!

So even PFT and Rotoworld are saying it's a 6 year deal, so I guess we are allowed to extend him and he is playing out his tender and his extension don't begin until 2013. Or he plays out his tender and then the 6 year deal begins in 2013 making it a 7 year deal.

This is so great, right after all the 'dramz' of Rice and Reed and people whining about Flacco. Dodged that bullet going into next off-season and re-signed our best young defender.

Still, I refuse to call Webb "Spiderman", he deserves a better nickname than that.

How did you come to that conclusion? It would be stupid to move Webb from Corner to safety if that is what your implying. Maybe down the line when Webb is older and we move him to Safety but not now. Like I said, pick your poison. Webb, Jimmy Smith, Ed Reed or Benard Pollard.

You think it is clear Reed won't return because of us re-signing Webb? I'm not so sure I agree. I think this spells what could be the end of Cary Williams if he has a good year. I don't see us extending Cary right now. I think he will wait until next year, even though Ozzie said he's working on it. Now, if we extend Williams & Webb then I agree.

This does make it hard, though. Hopefully Ozzie extends Reed & he sticks around, or even better we win The Big One & he retires. I would never want Flacco against Reed.

Not implying Webb will be moved. I am implying Ed wont get another big deal like he sounds like he wants. Steve Bisciotti made it clear that he pays "ascending players big money" not players like Ed at the tail end of their career. Webb, Jimmy, Cary, and maybe even Pollard will be the future in the secondary. Paying a lot of money to Reed as well isnt really feasible.
