I have no idea how a Nick Fairley thread became about bounties but back on topic. Fairley has been arrested again, but this time under suspicion of driving under the influence. He was pulled over just after 1am, AFTER attempting to elude the police. This was his second arrest in two months and will now be subject to the league's personal conduct policy. Fairley was placed on NFL's Substance Abuse Program and could face a mandated suspension.

Busted for weed, probably caught driving while high on weed.

Catch him once, unfortunate. Catch him twice in two months he's clearly a moron/addicted.

Say buh-bye to you're NFL career, Nick.

We had to hear all about how good the Lions D-line was going to be after Fairley was drafted and here we are now.

The Lions have become the new Bengals. I mean 5 of their 2011 Draft Picks all have been in trouble and this is just crazy for Fairley. I understand Fairley was BPA but now we know why he slid out of the Top 10.

This just gets worse... Fairley passed a STATE TROOPER going 100 MPH and Fairley at first refused to pull over despite the cop behind him flashing his lights. Funny that last year Suh was ticketed for going 91 MPH last year.
Fairley faces charges of DUI and attempting to elude police, plus reckless driving, no proof of insurance and driving with an open container of alcohol in his vehicle. It’s his second arrest in the last two months near his Alabama home; he was arrested in Mobile on April 3 for marijuana possession.
Well the old Bengals are still the Bengals but yeah. It's head-scratching how many Lions have been arrested/in trouble with the league in the past 6 months. Everyone got all excited about the Lions having a chance to be good for the first time in a while last year but that was marginal and I don't see them getting any better this year. Stafford and Megatron have to carry that whole team and Stafford isn't that good to begin with.

Read the post. Any athlete who does drugs is stupid.

I don't care if people smoke weed. It is UNDENIABLE that it has adverse affects on you, at least on equal level as alcohol. This forum is not the place to debate the legality of weed.

And any athlete smoking anything is an idiot. Smoking is much worse for you than drinking.
Completely off topic, but this is not true at all. Drinking can actually kill you if you drink too much, smoking weed has never killed anyone. There are some studies that have attributed weed to memory loss, but that is the extent of damage it actually does to your body. Alcohol is much much worse for you, and it has far greater behavioral consequences. When was the last time you saw someone get in a bar-fight because they smoked too much? But it makes sense to make alcohol legal...

I just read about his new "stupidity" on ESPN.

Shall we start a betting pool on when his next "dumb" moment will take place?

He just got a DUI yesterday, his career is going downhill fast.
Well technically his career is just beginning so he's essentially killing his career before it begins.

What is this like his second arrest in 2 months in Alabama. What a moron.
Yep, the players who keep getting in trouble are the ones who will never learn and will never stop getting in trouble.

Man, the weird stats just keep coming. 24% of the years arrests?

In one sense, I'm surprised there have apparently only been 21 arrests since the year started,....that's a good sign for the league, especially when you consider that four have been between Leshoure and Fairley. That's absurd.

I know this is a Nick Fairley thread but another Lion has been arrested for DUI. This time CB Aaron Berry was arrested Saturday Morning at 4:45a.m under the suspicion of driving under the influence. Also he was charged with two counts of causing accidental damage to another vehicle or property and two counts of failure to stop and give information to the police. He struck two parked cars, got out of his car and started leaving by foot before a witness called the police on him.

It makes it 6 Arrests for the Lions this off-season.

Detroit - the land where character doesn't matter. (Referring to the team only). This is why the Ravens draft guys with good work habits. It's not about where you are, it's about where you're going. When the Lions find that a guy like Fairley miraculously slipped their way, maybe they should reconsider why he fell that far. It's all of their recent draft picks. I think Jim Schwartz is going to be gone by the end of the season.

Can the NFL start fining the Lions organization?

Seriously, 6 arrests and the off-season isn't even over yet!

They've adopted Schartz' stupid punk attitude. The Lions are quickly becoming the landing spot for all punks/miscreants.

The Lions need to start disciplining their players, but seem reluctant to do so because they're finally getting results on the field. They're probably the worst team off-field now, though.
