8 posts in this topic

I know it's only preseason so it's not that exciting, but it just means we're that much closer to finding out the regular season schedule.

Thursday, Aug. 9
at Atlanta Falcons (TBA)
Friday, Aug. 17
vs. Detroit Lions (FOX National, 8 p.m.)
Thursday, Aug. 23
vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (TBA)
Thursday, Aug. 30
at St. Louis Rams (TBA)

Here's all games: http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d82815357/article/cardinalssaints-game-set-to-kick-off-2012-preseason-schedule

Good slate. We start with Flacco vs. Ryan. Our O line will be tested against the Lions, and we get a chance at redemption (for w/e the hell it's worth) against the Jags.

Hopefully Suh doesn't try to "remove himself" from one of our players...

Solid games. No Redskins or Eagles because we play them in the regular season.

I like having the 3rd Preseason game at Home again... gives fans a chance to see starters for at least a half (generally).

Pretty crappy schedule. I'd rather play almost any of the other teams we aren't scheduled to play: Dolphins, Jets, Colts, Titans, Packers, Bears, Saints, Panthers, 49ers, Seahawks. I want to give some of these new QBs a run for their money. And the other games would just be moral victories.

I don't really care who the Ravens play, I'm just interested in seeing the young talent continue to develop.

I don't have any numbers in front of me, but if I had to guess I'd say about 75% of our roster is 27 and younger.

We are really set up for the long haul and the preseason is the first real look us fans get at the future.

Who's gonna be the Mcphee or LaQuan of this years preseason? Will guys like Mcdoo, Williams, and Bynes continue to show potential and improvements.

Will Kindle bring anything to make the coaches play him more? Will Allen and Berry prove they can handle backup duties. How much have Doss, Quan, and Torrey improved.

Will Dickson put it all together and add an explosive element to the consistency of Pitta.

What about Justin Boren? Could he work himself into a top reserve and maybe show future potential?

What about Jimmy, Cary, Danny and Chikey, approach this year? Hungry and ready to prove that the DBs are truly a strength of this defense, or will they have big heads and rest on last seasons success.

Then there's always new guys, FAs and draft picks. How quickly can they adjust to our style of play?

How quickly can the defense adjust to our 3rd different DC in as many years?

All these questions and others make the preseason so enjoyable to me.
