21 posts in this topic

Im wondering which teams you guys think will win on Sunday.

I started some bets with people. It was whoever had the most teams they thought would win gets all the money.
If theres a tie they split and so on till post season.

Raiders vs Ravens
Cardinals vs Panthers
Buccaneers vs Cowboys
Redskins vs Lions
Bills vs Dolphins
Rams vs Patriots
Chargers vs Saints
Chiefs vs Jets
Falcons vs Eagles
Browns vs Jaguars
Bengals vs Texans
Giants vs Steelers
Sea Hawks vs 49ers

The teams in bold are the ones I chose. What you guys think. Are stuff isnt final till Friday. So we can check whos injured and not playing and whatever.

That was my concern too, but Tomlin seems to think he's good to go. It's the loss of McFadden that should be more of a concern. The Giants are deep with talented WR's. The Steelers are not deep at corner. Both QB's will be running for their lives, but that edge has to go to Ben. It'll be a good one. Homerism aside, if you're putting money on it go with Pittsburgh.

Yea thats true. If a corner gets a hand on Ben he can shake em off. LBs also have a hard time with him. Eli isnt as good as Ben in avoiding stuff like that. He just got lucky during the Super bowl. Im just worried that Eli will get big yards in the passing game to get the win. I think this one will be hella hard to guess though.

edit - I think the Cards will lose to the Panthers though. The Panthers are pretty good at home games.

I kinda wish you guys played them first. Would have given us a look at Eli playing a good 3-4 bringing the pressure.

That was a tough pick..., and you may be right since the Cards haven't been good on the road either. Let's call that one my upset.

Falcons/Eagles was another one I kinda just went "eenie, meenie, minee, moe" with. Eagles get the edge since it's in Philly.

What about the Rams and Patriots?

I gave it to the Rams because I think Steven Jackson will do his thing again.
With Harrison out forever they have a better chance to get passes off too.

I was close to picking the Rams, but I'm just not feeling the 3 game winning streak/turn around. Depending on how they and the Cards look this week, I may take the Rams at home vs. the Cards next week.

Are you at all concerned about the Raider secondary? I think the Ravens will be able to be patient on offense while the defense beats the snot out of the Raider O. Otherwise, this would have been tougher to pick.

The Raiders secondary? Not Im not concerned at all if we run the ball a lot.
Itll help open up the passing lanes. Which means this game Flacco will probably only pass like 20 times max.

The problem is that the Miami running game is all they have. Chad's not exactly "Johnnie Two-Minute Drill."
Plus, the "Wild Cat" experiment is about over. I think both teams have bright futures, but Buffalo is closer than Miami.

I agree with warden. Look how the Bills fared against the Chargers running game. They did pretty good against it and came away with the W.

I agree with you on almost everything, except I'm taking the Saints over the Chargers. Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers should have a nice shoot out, with Brees coming out on top. The only way I see the Chargers taking it is if the game is a mess like the last London game. If the passing game is taken out of the equation, SD should be able to out run them. I also like the Falcons over the Eagles. Atlanta seems to be on a nice little roll coming off their bye and I haven't been very impressed with what I've seen from the Eagles. Turner is probably due for a good game.
