Animal Wars Division Mla Round 1

Good Afternoon!
First I would like to thank Ravens <3 for this idea. This is a tournament for animals if they fought each other to DEATH. There will be 5 divisions: Large Land Animals (LLA), Medium Land Animals (MLA), Small Land Animals (SLA), Underwater Animals (UA), and Mystical Creature (MC).
The round of each tournament will be done for each division through the poll and you vote for your favorite. Voting stops at the end of the month (4/30/12).

MLA animals Round 1. Winner with the most votes gets a bye week in round 2 and will play the winner of round 2!

Grizzley Bear

Anaconda
Komodo Dragon

African Lion
Silverback Gorilla

Seems like people know whats up. The Grizzly Bear is one of the most powerful animals in the animal world.

Grizzlies are pretty damn dangerous. This is a tossup...

Back in the ancient era, animal fighting used to be wildly popular. A common match was the grizzly vs a bull. The grizzly would kill on average 5 bulls before tiring out....the can break a bulls neck with one swipe (think about that for a second!!)

I think the Siberian Tiger would beat a grizzly, but not a Bengal.

Indeed. Gorillas are very powerful animals. But lions stalk and strike quickly. With sharp teeth. Its a toss up who wins.

Gorillas can sense danger or hide and stalk that lion. I'm imaging they fight in a cage of some sort.

Nah, the lion would win. Gorillas are stronger, but lions are much quicker, agile and have claws and decapitating jaws. I'm assuming this would be out in the open, where the lion would have space to run and leap.

Did anyone notice no one has mentioned the Komodo/'conda matchup? Personally, I would bet on the anacaonda. It would coil around the dragon and crush his ribcage. The dragon wouldn't be able to penetrate the snake's scales, so it's only hope would be to stab the snakes eyes.
