You think we're not a playoff team because your thought process is screwed up. Technically we're 3-3 but I dont think anyone who questions that we should be 5-1, That would make us the #2 seed if the playoffs were to start today. But we're 3-3 bcuz we didn't have sufficient enough offense lead by a mistake riddled rookie quarterback to score points

Yes I'm a REALIST. I dont believe say "could have, should have, would have" those words are for people always making excuses. We are 3-3 that is our record. We beat 3 teams w/ a combined 4-15 record!!!! Your living in a fantasy word, keep drinkin the I just used the EMB's #1 Cliche!!
Yeah you're a realist. Really really clueless.

We lost to the top 2 AFC teams by a fieldgoal.

No doubt we "should have" beat those teams, but we didn't. That's not even the point. The fact that we basically dominated both teams and were able to compete with those 2 teams, of a combined record of 11-2, shows we have playoff potential. Shows we can hang with the big boys. If you can't see that then you're blind. If you Watched those 2 games, genius, then you would have realized how imposing our team was against our opponents will. Yes we lost and are now 3-3 but that doesn't erase how our teamed performed and how they are capable of performing.

You can't see the wood for the trees. Have a sip of that cliche, champ.

I was just on ESPN boards and they are killing Suggs and the Ravens for the whole "bounty" thing. I dont get it. Is it me or do you feel like everyone is ALWAYS putting down the Ravens and their organization? Why do people hate us so much?
That's where we differ.

you look at our team and think we can't go anywhere

I look at our team and see the same players that took us to 13-3 I see the same players that continually perform at pro bowl caliber, I see a defense that can win us another championship, I see a tightend who is big time play maker, I see a rb who is among the best not in terms of stats but in terms of ability, I see a pro bowl wide out in Derrek Mason and an explosive play maker in Mark Clayton, I see a field stretcher and a clutch Wr in demetrius williams, I see a ST that can impose their will on anyone they choose, I see an O-line that could finsh the season in the top 10, I see a running game that can out physical the toughest of defenses, I see a rookie holding this team back with turnover after turnover and mistake after mistake or "learning opportunities". I see a veteran Qb on the sideline with several years experience under Cam Cameron's offense and a 2nd year player with ridiculous scrambling and lpay making ability whose had a year to learn from the sidelines as a QB, Troy Smith.

And I wonder to myself, why do others not see the same thing I see? Why do others insist that this season is over b4 it started or is finished? why do others insist that Flacco is only the one that can give our team the best chance at winning?
I agree with you on 95% of what you posted and beleive me I see the same thing..EXCEPT..there was no proven QB on this roster even when they all were healthy. They all were learning a new offense and unfortunately the one that looked like he may win the job got ill, but you all have to remember back that Flacco wasn't really in that QB competition, not because of lack of skills or anything but because the coaching staff and front office had already decided to sit him and not rush him in to harms way. We were all behind that decision for the most part because of what was witnessed with Boller. Instead everything changed when Troy and Kyle went down and Flacco was forced to start(this is where the decision was made). If you put Flacco in now why would you pull him later when you have already addressed that this guy is the future of the franchise? They never actually named Flacco the starter though until after he had showed enough of them and us that he could handle it and win games for us, so until then Smith had a chance to come back and start for this team.

Bottom line is Flacco has shown that he can win games for us. He has shown calmness, accuracy, a strong arm, poise and a lot of promise being behind center so far in his first year. Again he has been named the starter for the season and the future of this franchise. Could Troy win more games for us now? I don't have the answer to that but at this point of the season you don't pull your rookie QB that you have made known to be the guy for years to come. He has played well enough for us to win and is learning at the same time. I understand that we all want to win right now but at what cost?

I do read your posts carefully. It's the only way I can understand them the way you write.
Here's what you said and I still don't know what that has to do with Suggs bringing the heat down on us with the bounty talk?

He has some issues to take care of. He seems to like to talk about male organs a lot. Maybe some sort of suppression?

Sorry, I didn't mean to detract the board into an attack on Byrdz. All I know is that Harbaugh gets paid good money to make these decisions. Not Suggs and certainly not the fans. While anybody has the right to agree or disagree, they have to respect his decision.

Side Note: (I can't wait for Penn State to whoop up on OSU this weekend)

After that Tirad he just gave and all the unnecessary vulgarity and personal attacks, I hope the only suppression he gets is his rights to be on this board. Disagreeing about who the start is on the team is one thing, but that was just uncalled for.

This thread has reached its natural (or unnatural) conclusion, while wasting my lunch hour. It's closed and for future reference, in the name of sanity:

1) STICK TO THE TOPIC
2) RESPECT OTHER POSTERS and
3) DON'T BE A JERK!

Thanks.
