Wow! I know this is going to cause alot of craziness once again on this board but this is quite a statement by Sizzle... It's funny cause in a way Sizzle is saying what alot of the Troy supporters have been saying on these boards... interesting...any thoughts?

Everybody has their opinions. Suggs, as a defender, has virtually no authority in making quarterback decisions. Really, I'm taking this the same as if some media writer decided to randomly jump on Troy Smith's bandwagon.

haha thanx man! however I dont think the rest of the Flacco oopps I mean Ravens message board will agree.... obviously Suggs comment wont change anything and yes he says plenty of dumb things however it's just funny one of the best players on the team says almost exactly what most of us have been saying.... I'm guessing people are going to claim that he just said this because he doesnt want to play in Bmore anymore... who knows... it's just freaking funny to hear right now...

Well, I wouldn't blame them seeing as Suggs keeps finding new ways to stab the Ravens in the back. I was fine with him asking for more money with the Tag, but he has been unreasonable in contract negotiations and now publicly speaking against the coaches decision, on the other side of the ball no less. Like I said, a place where he has no authority.

I reeeally hope we don't bow down to this guy and send Scott to the curb at the end of the year. The guy keeps his mouth shut off the field and gives his all for the team. Something that is apparently a foreign concept to Suggs.

You make it sound like Ozzie Newsome wants to start Smith. This is Suggs we are talking about. There will always be sides choosen in the locker room. This is nothing new, what type of response are you looking for? He's speaking his mind. I wish he showed a little more team unity nevertheless, and took a note or two from Ray Lewis. But nevertheless it isn't Suggs decision to make, it's only his opinion.

The minute I saw this post on PFT I knew this was going to happen. Just when this foolish QB controversy was starting to die down Sizzle goes and stirs it up again.

Such is the life with the media, they smell a problem they will sniff it out and make things happen. Now I'm waiting for the next retraction from Sizzle, just like how he retracted after saying he had a bounty on Ward.

haha seriously the guy says some down right dumb things... I'm hoping this thread doesnt turn into a "is Suggs right or wrong?" thread cause we are all tired of the qb debate... hopefully it can become more of a "whats Suggs problem" or "why whould Suggs say that?" thread haha but it's funny cause alot of people who supported TS got labeled as not being true fans so just like RavensIQ i'll be curious to see if everyone treats Suggs an actual "player" and good player at that the same way alot of the TS supporters got treated....i.e. you dont know what you are talking about... your not a true fan...or ...even though it's your opinion i must judge you, etc... haha

I AGREE!! these people need to GET OVER IT.. Coach harbaugh made the decision. Its not our decision as fans or anyone else's choice to decide who starts.. I doubt Suggs will be here next year...He's a good player and I think he will continue to be a good player BUT he needs to take lessons from Ray lewis.. Here's a question to ask yourself...Is Terrel Suggs the ONLY player who feels Troy should start? After all he plays with the man, practices with the man, he sees in person what each can do, what each brings to the table. He plays DEFENSE AGAINST the man and feels Troy is the better of the 2. He rides the same bus as the man, don't you think he would have a better idea of what Troy or Flacco can do than lets say one of us who have never seen or have even been to a real practice in person yet alone participated in one? and he does it everyday but what does he know right? He's just a Flacco BASHER stirring things up.

This guy lines up against both quarterbacks every single day and feels that Troy SMith is the best Qb that gives us the best chance to win. What would make him say that? Is Flacco really that much of an A-hole in the locker room that suggs doesn't like him? Or is it that Troy is that much better on the field that makes Suggs respect him more? hmmm...

Why does suggs feel that way? Cuz he wants to win now, this season. Not at the expense of teaching a rookie. We look at it as fans he looks at it as a PLAYER.

I'm sure there are a lot players that would prefer Smith to Flacco, ofcourse. But what do you want a mutiny? Is that the route you would prefer? There's a thing called team unity. Sure guys are going to have opinions, who doesn't. But that's why we hire GMs and coaches, they make the decisions. They keep everybody in check. It's not an easy task for them to do. Suggs is a player with opinions, his job is to play. This isn't something that happens just on our Team, its every team.

I got a better idea, let's let the players run the organization. They can line-up for any position they want. They can argue about who's going to start. It would be a blast to watch! Talk about who's staying and who's going. Obviously the bigger guys will win, because there's going to be a lot of fighting.

I wish you guys would have been this civil about it when myself and others suggested someone other than Flacco be given a chance.

I believe the whole argument on this board referred to who was the better player and who gave us the best chance to win. When did it become about players, opinions, locker room, unity? I can't speak for others but I myself took a beatdown for stating the obvious aka the truth and going outside the box with my opinions. But my opinions weren't opinions..they were treasonous statements that proved my disloyalty to this team.

I gotta say I'm quite disappointed that the Flacco supporters(ravens fans) aren't making their arguments in the usual either your with us or against usmanner. I thought you guys would put up more of a fight.

But it's kinda hard when a pro bowler, team leader, franchise player, Terrel Suggs(former 1ST ROUND DRAFT PICK) stands on our side of the argument, now isn't it?

i dont get why players will bash their teamates, unless he really doesnt want to be here next year which is a shame hes a great player but we dont need any BS drama mid season. Flacco has enough going on trying to improve comments like these from Suggs done make it any easier on him.
Flacco is the starter and thats that so support him thats all there is to it
if the coaches thought smith could come back from his illness and be more effective than Flacco than he would be under center
