Per WNST, Ravens sign safety Sean Considine to one-year deal.

Safety depth and another special teams player. Nothing special but a good move to add depth behind Reed and Pollard after losing Zibby and Nakumura.

Its Friday and this is my second week back in an office...ugh!

Good deal. Safety is an area we are thin for depth. This is a good signing.

This is why I like the Ravens. We sign whatever we can to make depth & then when the draft comes we can just get guys we like & make it work. Then, when the draft is over & players are cut because of younger replacements we get the right players we need.

He has had a lot of starting time with Eagles so I'd say he is definitely an upgrade over ruki or Tom

Yeah it is lol.

On a serious tip Considine is one of the worst tacklers in the league and misses around 1 in 5. Not sold on this signing especially when there are better safeties who remain unsigned but we'll see.

I saw that Harbaugh was the special teams coordinator for the Eagles back when they drafted him. So they have a history together on special teams which is good. Apparently he can play both FS & SS which gives us a lot better depth. I like the signing. Hopefully he can stay healthy and contribute on special teams.

Welcome back, wish I could say the always fun "sign this guy" or "oz ain't doing nothing" post are gone but atleast we have new guys to talk about for a bit.

I don't know why we would sign him other than play special teams. We still need another back up saftey who will be able to play free because i think considine is more of a strong.I would love to get a guy like janzen jackson, aaron henry, or chrisian thompson. I would much rather draft two safties this year than get considine and a saftey in a draft but if we can get one of these guys i would be happy.

I hope considine is able to help us in special teams because we were pretty bad at times last season.
