Yeah, John Clayton was saying there is no Ray Lewis replacement in this draft and I'm thinking "No [really]!, It's Ray Freakin' Lewis!"

Let me put things in perspective. I was born in Italy in 1989 and came here to Baltimore at age 7. Shortly after I arrived here, someone gave me a Ray Lewis football card in a plastic case. I had no idea who he was, nor did I understand football. I was like the new team in Baltimore. I had to learn everything like it was brand new. I studied football like it was my religion. We weren't too good in 1996, but I went to a few games with my older brother, father, and uncle. I have learned to embrace football as my culture. It was my path to becoming American. I still have that football card. It's amazing to me that he would be still playing football after all these years. Ray Lewis has been playing football for most of my life. It's been half of my life since we won the Super Bowl. Let's hope that Ray gets another ring. He has earned it.

we will be "just fine" with out Lewis.

That said it will be a sad day in Baltimore and this team will never be the same because of him.

Well, in three or four years there WILL be another Ray Lewis in the draft.

Let's start it now. The Ravens should draft Ray Lewis III. He's already following his father's steps in HS and into college now. One more step to go.

I have three role models in life (Ray Lewis being the greatest). I was just a little kid when my father bought me Madden 2005. I didn't know a lot about football, other than I really enjoyed watching it but didn't have a team. I knew of Ray Lewis because of his name, but I didn't know anything else about him. I played as the Ravens as soon as I got home, and the rest is history. I love Ray so much, I'm getting 52 tatted on my shoulder blade area.

Personally I hate the idea of drafting a MLB in the first, since this became a passing league we've all seen the value of the position take a nose dive even before this free agency period, and thats before you consider that Ray and his contributions to the team and the city can never be replicated let alone replaced.

And it's no shocker that Madden 05 was definitely the best one. Introduction of the HitStick. Newspapers in Franchise Mode. Even some sports talk lradio. Ray Ray blesses everything he touches

I bought that game in PAL format for my South African brother in law simply b/c Ray is in the cover.

Still didn't keep him him from becoming an Eagles fan though. Not sure what went wrong.

those were great parts. i don´t get why they changed it and weren´t able to evaluate the game over the years. the progress from 2005 up until today is just a joke. but that´s another story...

everybody loves ray lewis. i think he is one of those guys that you just respect for what he is doing. even those from the other teams fanbase like him.

he is the p. manning of the defense. and in my eyes he is better in what he is doing than manning at what he does. he is the greates football player of all time for me!!

I would say it had something to do with being born and raised in South Africa.

Thanks, my friend. That video is inspiring on many levels. No one will ever doubt the greatness of Ray Lewis. I hope they show this when he finally goes into the Hall of Fame on the first ballot.

It's funny how we all connect to Ray's career in our lives. Hopefully, the Ravens retire his number.

To change the topic to who we really miss on this team. He was an unsung hero who never really got the credit he deserved. His name was... Frank Walker. The Yellow Flag man himself will go down as the greatest Ravens corner EVER.

I loved the video, but I was just a little annoyed by the negativity displayed by the OP in his opening sentence.
