Ray Lewis & Ray Lewis III - Together As Ravens Someday?

38 posts in this topic

I was just reading Aaron WIlson's twitter about Ray Lewis III giving verbal commitment to the Canes and i just started thinking...

How <insert like 5000 adjectives here> would it be if some how, some way our Ray Lewis pulled another 4 years out of him and again, somehow...someway.... Ray Lewis and his son got to play 1 season together.

Having a similar bond with my own father i know that if the above somehow was achieved, it would mean the world to me, baltimore, the fans, the NFL and of course the Lewis family.

We can keep our fingers crossed at least...

It's almost a certainty the Ravens will at least bring in his son as an UDFA, at the very least.

That said, isn't his son an extremely small HB? Like 5'8 small?

This thread was made already??? It just depends on how long he stays at Miami, how well he does and where he is projected. Also I doubt Ray plays 4 more years so it won't happen but it would be cool if he came here, maybe as a replacement for Rice in the 2015-2016 Draft.

Haha, my bad, I meant being like 5'8 and 180 pounds small. Rice is outrageously stacked for his height at 210.

For the record, I think he is 5'9 and 190 according to an article. Who needs RG3 when you can have RL3?

lol if Ray Lewis comes back to coach, than it's very possible they will be here together. If RL3 has any sort of success at all he's going to be on the radar for the league... that blood line....

This has me wondering now, has a father and son ever played on the same NFL team at the same time?

Sorry offtopic, just something I'm thinking

He's 16, that's pretty big for a 16 year old. I played running back in high school and was almost the same size. I was boxing at 210 when I was 23.

I meant more in regards to his height. Most males are done their vertical growth in high school and Ray Ray himself is not a tall man. I'm just talking strictly about his size is all, nothing to do with him as a player.

It would be cool but at the same time very unlikely 52 is still playing when his son gets into the NFL. But if he ends up on the Ravens maybe his ol' man would take that coaching spot then.

I wouldn't say 5'9 is short for a back. that's actually a pretty good size.
for comparison LT was only 5'10.

Ray Lewis would be on crutches. Maybe as a linebacker coach.

If Ray plays 3 more years and his son enters the draft after his sophmore season it would be possible. Suggs was only 20 when we drafted him afterall.
