I'm Not Optimistic About 2012 For The Ravens

I am not feeling too good about next season, Especially with the O-line. We are suspect at center, LG, and LT, I know we will address the o-line in the draft but we have a lot holes to fill (including depth). At wideout we have an aging wideout in Boldin, an inconsistent but very expolsive Wr in Torrey Smith, and unproven talent behind them. The schedule will also be very tough next year, playing the nfc east, patriots, and the afc west. On the other hand I do like all the young players on defense such as, Kruger, Mcphee, Webb, Jimmy, and Kindle. To me on paper our offense won't look that good as usual even with a good draft I think we will only be average offensively, and defense will be solid as usual.

Anyone disagree with me? I am hoping for the best, but i'm expecting the worst.

Still won the superbowl. Besides free agency isn't over. Though losing grubbs was a blow.

Oh for Pete's sake...do you mind waiting until AFTER the draft or heck...even after training camp before you go all doom and gloom and woe is us, please?

I understand the frustration over seeing guys leave without seemingly any response from the FO (trust me I was feeling it myself a few days ago). But us long-timers know full well this is the Ravens Way. We whine and complain and grind our teeth every off-season because stuff like this happens and our team still manages to stay right in the thick of contention.

Do we have holes to fill? Of course we do. We do most years....and things usually manage to work themselves out.

We are in worse shape than usual, I'm not really that mad we didn't sign anyone its just the people starting for us next year on the o-line are aged.

Ahhh, another "chicken little" sighting. FA just started and it is a loooooooooooooooooong time with lots of opportunities between now an then to make some serious adjustments. Come on, this is typical Ravens. We never make any splashy moves during FA and wait until the feeding frenzy is over to get a few choice bites. If at the first game we still look the same as now, then start to worry.

Most of the good lineman in free agency are gone, so we really are depending on the draft. I don't understand when people say this is the typical Ravens when we could very well go 8-8 or 9-7.

We had one of the most talented teams last year. Being 'in worse shape than usual' is still pretty good compared to the vast majority of teams.

Yep. I heard that 8-8, 9-7 diatribe last year too, right at the start of FA when we failed to sign any big name FAs. What happened? Don't throw in the towel so quickly. There is still a long time until the season starts, and many things could happen between no and then. As someone said in another post "Being a Raven's fan is not for the faint hearted"
