Peyton Manning Is Coming To Baltimore In 2012!

59 posts in this topic

Once you are injured and diagnosed with several surgeries, you will never be the same, especially playing in the environment with nothing but hard hitting and high speed collision: NFL.

With Webb, Jimmy, and Cary in the backfield, Manning will hit the web when his eyes are in radar for Ed Reed.

Seriously, I'm not worried about any team; I'm just worried about our own starting rosters, playcallings, and injuries which seemingly impede our success.....

I think Denvers D is very overated. My biggest problem with their D is their ancient starters in the secondary ,and Von Miller was very unimpressive late in the season. He had no business beating Aldon Smith last year in my opinion.

I would have much rather faced Tebow.

Thus ends the era of Tebow-mania.

I hope Tebow goes to Cleveland.

I was thinking of that same idea. If only Cleveland is that stupid.

they are that stupid. they'll trade to get a few 4th quarter comeback wins every once in a while. of course i'd be in boredom of espn talking about the browns for 5 hours though if he was there.

We all know how stupid Cleveland is on every level. Management, coaching, players. I remember outsmarting them into false starting to lock up that game in Cleveland last year. And how poor their clock management was all day long. They amuse me.

So sick of Manning. So sick of him being the AFC. Why couldn't he have chose an NFC team? Like what was wrong with the Niners? Perhaps the Vikings?

I swear this guy just likes to annoy Raven fans.

I'm definitely not as worried as I would have been a few years ago because Peyton has only gotten older and injured and our secondary has improved drastically. Webb, Smith, Cary and Pollard are all young and very talented and are only going to get better with more time together. I can't think of one team who I am worried about as long as we draft well, which we do on a consistent basis.

What about his decision says "I wanted to annoy Ravens fans."

He probably didn't want to play his brother, and he probably doesn't want to play Indy twice a year. That leaves one option available.

This is not the Peyton Manning my three year old son's father knew.

If he even makes it out of TC, Peyton is a shell and is living and getting paid off of name alone. Otherwise, he'd still be in Indy.

Yeah...not really.

He brought a video of a 15 minute throwing session with Reggie Wayne to the meetings he had with various teams and his neck, at least presently, doesn't appear to be an issue. Obviously a bad hit can change that but how is that true of any other player? Indy cut him because they weren't sure he'd be healthy at the time they had to make the decision. They had to pay him a roster bonus and they decided to move on with the franchise and cut him. There are more things taken into account here then whether or not the man can still play.

I'm excited about this, actually. I think with the offseason to fix some things and work on chemistry with his receivers, Joe is going to have the best season of his career next year. It will be good to see Joe vs. Peyton now that Joe will be in year 5 - the last two times they faced were Joe's rookie and sophomore seasons.

Eh, I am surprised. I thought for sure he would go to Tennessee. I guess Denver has a better defense. I am still surprised.

Too bad we couldn't play against Tebow. He seems to elude us, lol. He eluded us when we traded with Denver. He eluded us last year in the playoffs. And now he eludes us again.

I disagree,the 49ers have all the pieces.

He gets a pretty good defense, a pro bowl rb and some young receivers, free agency isn't over yet. I think it will be a great game.

Until we beat a Peyton Manning led team, I won't be so bold as to say we will. He's shredded us in the past far too many times.

He's done well against us over the course of his career, but the last 3 times he's played us, in the Harbaugh era, he killed us in 08, but in 09 he had 3 TDs, 3 picks (in 2 games). Really we lost those games because Flacco could not figure out how to play the Colts and the Cover 2 especially, which I think he figured out in part this year. I think part of the reason he's done so well against us in the past was we simply didn't have any sort of offensive answer for him. I think with the way our young players have grown on offense it's a different situation than it was 3 years ago (the last time we played). Not saying we will beat him, but I think it's unfair to compare a team that had a terrible offense and then was going through growing pains with a young quarterback to a team that has a mature quarterback with much more offensive firepower than the days of Travis Taylor and Randy Hymes, and of course Mr Carrie Prejean.

It should be a good game, but I still predict us to win as of right now. That may change depending on when we play each other and what our records are etc, but until then I'm sticking with the home team.

Peyton will have his hands full next season. He's got four top 10 defenses from the AFC North as well as high powered offenses against the NFC South. Not to mention the AFC West teams love to kill each other, and in particular, he's got his good friends, the Chargers, twice.

what receivers? eddie royal is gone and Decker was injured last season. what rb? McGahee? lol! sure, he had a great year running the ball last year but that was primarily due to the fact that Tebow can't throw so the running game had to be the focus point! lol!

LOL!!!!!....calm down with all of that

John Fox likes his teams running the ball to help out his defense. Demariyus Thomas has a lot of potential but has been injured a lot and Decker healthy will probably be Peyton's Dallas Clark/Welker/Collie type player. He will get a lot of catches.

Sorry, you are way wrong about why they ran the ball so much and Willis is a good running back.

It will be a good game and free agency and the draft aren't over yet so we don't know who else they could add.

It does scare me that Von Miller and Elvis Dumervil will be beating down on our tackles all game.

Denver's D is no joke though. We all see how Flacco performs under pressure.
[/quote] Denvers defense is good but not that good.. they were ranked middle of the pack last year. Now it depends on how our oline is going to hold up next year, if joe flacco will play well or not.

I hate to keep detracting from a "Ravens related" Peyton thread, but where is everyone in the media, and apparently some people on these forums getting that the Broncos have a good or even decent defense? They finished 20th in yards allowed and 24th in pts allowed last year (those might be reversed accidentally, its one or the other, I'm at work and can't spend too much time on this). As others have said, the only strong point to it is playing with a lead and unleashing Dumervil, Ayers, and Miller to create some havoc. They aren't a top run stuffing unit and their secondary is ancient. That defense couldn't hold our d's jockstrap and even look decent by association. In all fairness, having Tebow go 3 and out 2/3 of the time for 3 quarters didn't help them, but at the same time, they were hardly a big playmaking unit either. The offense as I said has one player currently considered a top player at his position in OT Clady, the rest leaves a ton to be desired. The Broncos BACKED into the playoffs last year and really only won a game at all because Pittsburgh foolishly continued to dare Tebow to beat them after he had already beat them. The media isn't even considering the difference between Peyton playing his entire career in the coziness of a DOME in over half of his career games and how different Mile High can be from Lucas Oil. To summarize, the Ravens are currently 3 times the team the Broncos currently are, Peyton included. Now, back to work, haha...

Written by Esienberg, this article is about the fact that the Ravens will face a plethora of good to elite QBs in 2012. It occured to me earlier that both Mannings are coming to the bank.

I love how he mentions how Dalton already has more pro bowl appearences than Flacco, yet he was later named an alternate, Joe had a higher passer rating on the season, and Joe played better in big games against the Steelers, 49ers, Bengals and Texans defenses.

Another thing he said was that our only consolation is the Browns and Redskins. I'm surprised he didn't list RG3 as one of the signal callers we should worry about.

We do play some good quarterbacks this coming season. But the 'elite'/better quarterbacks come to the Bank so it is less worrisome. The road game that is most concerning is Rivers because he has found ways to torch us. But he doesn't have those same weapons so we'll see how that goes.

This is going to be a learning curve year for Peyton and the Broncos as they try to develop chemistry. I don't expect them to set the league on fire. Also, Peyton knows in the back of his mind how dangerous our defense can be. Don't be surprised to see him running for his life trying to protect his neck, literally.
