Peyton Manning Is Coming To Baltimore In 2012!

59 posts in this topic

As the starting QB of the Denver Broncos!

Suddenly, that home game against Denver doesn't seem nearly as comfortable as we were all hoping when Tebow was expected to be their QB.

This just gives McGahee even more power in his "revenge" game.

Remember what happened when Jamal Lewis faced Baltimore his first year on a new team?

Next season is going to be a tough one we know, but it's going to be even tougher now that we know we'll have to play Peyton at the Bank. I know he's getting old, and he just had 3 surgeries and all but if he comes back to his 2009 form, we all know he will give us another hard time, i was wishing he'll go to the nfc but hey I have faith in our D and hopefully this time, is the time we will beat Peyton ! I don't remember last time we beat him.

What you all think about having him on our way again ? Matter, doesn't matter ?

Eh, I am surprised. I thought for sure he would go to Tennessee. I guess Denver has a better defense. I am still surprised.

Too bad we couldn't play against Tebow. He seems to elude us, lol. He eluded us when we traded with Denver. He eluded us last year in the playoffs. And now he eludes us again.

I think it's because the O-line for Denver played really well last year. Also lets him not play the colts twice a year, which I'm sure would have been awkward.

It was always the Colts defense that seemed to have our number. Besides, Ed strikes fear in the heart of Peyton.

Manning chose the worst situation of the 3. Who's he throwing too?

Possibly mike Wallace?

I suppose that is a possibility if Denver is willing to let its first round pick go. Even still, that is only one option. Both Llyod and Royal are gone.

thomas is good, theyll get a TE, and they have a decent pick to get a WR in the draft if they dont get wallace

Denver's D is no joke though. We all see how Flacco performs under pressure.
[/quote]
they are built identically to the colts, strong pass rush, hope to build an early lead and unleash dummervil and miller, aka mathis and freeney

I wouldnt be surprise to see Dallas Clark end up in Denver to play TE for Peyton.

Denvers D no doubt kept Tebow in games. But the games they won... they played against mediocre offenses or offenses with serious injuries. They've also got beat like a drum. Overall they were still 20th in yards & 24th in points allowed even with those low scoring games. They might be 'no joke' with a lead that Peyton would give them but right now a little over hyped IMO. And almost all QBs don't play as well under pressure... that is why the objective is to get pressure on the QB.

Well they lost Royal to a division rival (Chargers) a few days ago. Wonder if Royal would've opted to stay in Denver had he known about Peyton beforehand. Royal is very underrated in my opinion, in fact I wish the Ravens would've given him a better look (but that's a whole other discussion). I say Rivers and his revamped WR corp out perform the Peyton and Demaryius Thomas show. Because c'mon who else does he have, Decker out of Minnesota is the only other WR I can even name off the top of my head. Thomas is a stud, I'll give em that.

Is anyone nervous to see what happens if Peyton get's an accidental (or intentional if your name is James Harrison or Ryan Clark) helmet to helmet hit. As a fan of Peyton as a person/player I wanna see him be able to retire with his long term health intact. With D-Lineman like Harrison and Suh playing the game in such a dangerous way at times.. it's gotta make you nervous.

They can only get better, especially with a lead heading into the fourth. I think they're pretty good, and a great pass rush will usually stall our offense because our idiot of an OC can never seem to change game plans if Flacco is on his back

Maybe I'm just an optimist, but I'm really not concerned about Peyton for the first time ever in regards to playing us. Maybe its the layoff and neck surgeries, the lack of talent on the Denver offense (Ryan Clady is arguably the only offensive starter who is a top ten at his position in the league) and the fact that Denver's defense outplayed itself down the stretch last year, but I am confident we'll handle the Broncos at the Bank. Still quite a way away and both teams will add several pieces before then, but Peyton just chose the worst situation for himself IMO if his goal was to win another ring.

I agree. Plus you never know what happens between now and then regarding injuries, etc.
