Zibi Signs With Colts

Well it's business. And if you are not starting on a team, then you don't really have any reason to stay unless they are overpaying you. So I understand Zibby.

zibby was awesome. wish he wouldn't have left but you can't have a grudge on a guy when you have talent and putting in the work and can't get to play.

Do the Ravens even have any other safties on their roster now? Besides Reed and Pollard?
We have Emanuel Cook, who's a good special teams guy. He's pretty similar to Nakamura, so I think he can take over that role fairly well. We'll still need another safety to took Zbi's spot.

I just hope him and Haruki get to start so we can see what we had riding pine. I had a feeling him, JJ, Redding and McClain would sign with the Colts. I knew one our safetys would go with Chuck and wouldnt be surprised if he picked up Carr as well.

As I said in the Nakamura thread, Nak and Zibby have been two of my favorite picks and players over the last few years, but I don't blame either one bit for moving on to where they will easily get more playing time, both will be competing for starting roles and I think both will win them.

Didn't expect THIS many of our guys to skip town for the $$$.. Jeez I assumed these guys had a little more loyalty after they got to compete for a title for the last 4 years and are in a great organization. Chargers are gonna be the Eagles of last year, they make a million big name signings and have no team chemistry.

I know the guys like Zib that went to the colts wanna play with Pags.. but news flash your going from competing for a title to a minimum 4 years of rebuilding on the worst team in Football. Hope you guys like your extra $$$ while your sitting on your couch watching us in the playoffs year after year.

I though some of these guys wanted to win a championship.. guess not. We had some $$$ chasers in house last season! Makes me appreciate guys like Ray, Ed, and Ogden more. They had their chances to go to some 4-12 team that was ready to throw the whole bank at them. Luckily they all had a good head on their shoulders and know a lucrative contract is never gonna replace the bonds, friendships, legacies, and opportunites they have in Baltimore.

While a championship is nice, some guys just wanted a shot to play. Zbikowski and Nakamura weren't going to get the playing time here, so they went elsewhere. It's not all about the money.

Wow. I dont believe we lost 2 starting caliber safeties, not to mention 2 of my favorite Ravens.
Good luck to Zbi. He will be a solid starter

Yes, 2 starting caliber safeties but not here. Zibby and Haruki had no shot at starting with Pollard and Reed set as our starting safeties. I say Mark Barron in the first round this year to be our future at SS, and TJ McDonald in the first round in 2013 to be Ed Reed's replacement.

We need a 2012 starter not a back up safety
Ed Reed and Bernard Pollard? Why would we need a starter?

He meant taking another position other than safety.

My point was we don't need Barron because he would be a back up , we want our first round pick to play so we won't be taking a safety, sorry for confusion, iPhone causes brevity

No shot we take back to back safeties in the first round in successive years. I don't want a T in the first round this year, but we're going to need one damn soon and depending what we do this year we'll NEED a MLB who can actually play the position.

Off topic but with center being on back burner I see us taking 4 positions for need ( olb, MLB, lt, wr) and the best available will probably be Hightower

i agree with the first part of the post about guys wanting to play. but...imo...it is always about the money! always! ask the colts and peyton who parted ways primarily because of that 28 mil that was due. the neck injury was the scapegoat for the colts! and....let's see how much peyton signs for with his new team! lol!

me either!

and oddly as this may seem for me to say, i think that both Redding and Zibby will look great wearing the horseshoe on their helmets. their time with the Ravens symbol came to an end. good luck to those guys!
