Right. We lost a solid LG that started right away after being picked in the latter part of first round and starting right away.

Sooooooo....how do we fill this hole atLG?

With Oher or a draft pick.

It's not like we're planning to sign Tebow as our backup QB.
I was wondering when someone was going to go there!

I have nothing to say that hasn't already been said..and that I haven't said in other threads. This is the Ravens Way...don't like it or not comfortable with it? Deal. We all have to.

I have a great idea. Why don't the Broncos sign Wallace and the Steelers sign Tebow?

Give it up. Rational thought has no shelf life on a site where getting to the POs consecutive years without a Lombardi tropy is considered an accomplishment. Shopping for bargains and saving all of your money for one or two "key" players will only make you "good enough". Good enough does not win SB's.

Like it or not-we have issues and unfortunately they are the same issues year in and year out. Now we will have to scramble to plug huge holes left by Grubbs, Redding, and Zb et all. Why not just pay them what they are worth? I will tell you why-because we are a frugal franchise. Nobody gets the big bucks in Baltimore. We cling to the old payers ttill they drop-Birk another 3 year deal? Ha he doesn't have 3 years. He was talking about retiriing last year. Come on Man! and lets not start with this draft baloney I'm still fuming about drafting 2 TEs back to back which hasn't excately been idealistic and don't get me started on Sergio Kindle-what an awesome pick that was.Why don't we go get Wes Welker-so he is expensive but what a great go to guy for the innacurate Flacco. The fact is marquis players avoid Baltimore because we wont pay marquis $$$ Plain and simple. Everybody ready for another year like the last 5-I hope so-get ready its getting close to scramble time in Baltimore.

Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! New Idea, we trade a player for an extra second, than we trade higher into the first to get replacement for Grubbs.

i'm nervous that we will put reid at guard when most of us here clearly want oher there and me. too early to say but i wouldn't want that to happen. i'd like to hear their reasoning although stupid baltimore sun won't let me read cuz i used up my "reading time" and i'm definitely not paying for some 10 second article.

Newspapers weren't selling well so they had to try to get money from somewhere to pay the writers.

Outside of his claim that Grubbs was the team's best offensive lineman, Preston makes some solid points in this article about how parity hurts good teams like the Ravens.

Still, it seems that nobody points out that we found both our starting guards in the same draft, and even though Yanda was a third round pick he started 12 games his rookie season. Or that we managed to go 4-2 without Grubbs. A lot of people think the Ravens suddenly forgot how to draft. Besides, while there are no real elite guards like Grubbs out there, there are still several starting-caliber guys who we could pick up.

truth is grubbs was the biggest hit we took; the ravens office isnt stupid, they knew he would leave and have probably been planning for
this situation for months. all issues will be addressed in due time (but our cap space is extremely limited and we will probably not be able to outbid other teams for guys). that being said its gonna be interesting to see how this all plays out.

We have lost one starter that will be hard to replace in Grubbs, jj and redding were old and the others were back ups

Jj had to go, he was one dimensional and we get the most out of Suggs and ngatas contracts when we have a viable pass rush on other side to help them out and he wasn't that.

What position was he? Olb or 3-4 DE? Olb right?
I think he played OLB in the Pats scheme. He had a breakout year last year.
