Why Do The Titans Get 2 Covers?

Anyone else thinks its rather unfair that the Titans get 2 madden covers? I have no idea why the put Vince Young on 08 when they already did a Titans guy in 2001, there could've been so many other better athletes on 08.

well look at what's happened to them after they posed for the covers (as well as a handful of other players), EG's career went downhill and VY had a bad year last year and is playing behind Kerry Collins!

Well yeah but I'm still upset that they got 2 covers, despite the curse.

the way I look at it, the Titans are the only ones with two players posing for Madden covers, while our Ravens have the only defensive player

I don't think EA Sports was actively thinking about the Titans as a team when they put Eddie George and then Vince Young on the cover.

Eddie George was just popular at the time and was a leading rusher in the league. Vince Young was chosen because of Madden 08's emphasis on rookies and the "improved" Superstar Mode.

Plus, they couldn't put, say, Reggie Bush on the cover if he was already on the cover of NCAA Football 07 just a year earlier. And Mario Williams was already written off as a bust at that point.

Basically, VY was the highest-profile rookie from that season, and the only natural choice for them to promote the game the way they planned.

actually, both peyton manning and LT turned down offers to be on the madden cover last year. the whole "rookie" thing was a late developmental plan after the big superstars turned down the offer.

personally, i was upset that young was on the cover. he was barely mediocre his rookie year. in fact, i'd say the following rookies made more of an impact than young in 07.....

Demeco Ryans (who was defensive rookie of the year)

Maurice Jones-Drew
Brandon Marshal
Dawan Landry

i think any of Ryan, Hester, and Colston would have been easier, sure-fire choices. young was a ridiculous choice

I am not sure but I think they wanted to put some one else on the 08 cover but they declined, I think it was Peyton Manning. DONT QUOTE ME ON THIS

&& Now that Favre' been on the cover he has thrown 12 INTs so far and we're only half way through the season.
